I am starting to think that maybe just maybe, the Cowboys aren't that good. No offense guys, but where is the fire?
They got some good players individually but they aren't playing as a team. I've had a bad feeling about this team since the skid last year. They have no fire and I don't think they get it. Romo was finally booed at Texas Stadium. It's going to get worst for him if he doesn't turn it around. The fans drove Meredith into retirement. They were hard on Aikman and Staubach and they never let Danny White forget those 3 straight championship games losses in the 80's. Romo has had a honeymoon in Big D but I think it's coming to an end if he doesn't turn it around.

The Bengals gave the Cowboys all they could handle.

That defense is also disappointing. Most of the draft picks seem to always go to the defense and outside of Ware they all look pretty soft.

Of course, the mean local media and our nitpicking might have something to do with the foul mood in the Cowboys' Texas Stadium interview room.

Wade Phillips, miffed at a question from a legendary local columnist/radio personality about the Cowboys stinking most of the game, muttered on his way off the podium. "I think you stink," Phillips said with a red face. The coach and media character did squash their hard feelings in a touching moment later.

T.O. kept it short and sweet, delivering a one-minute, 10-second sermon/speech about that combined faith, frustration and football. He declined to answer any questions.

Tony Romo also took offense to some questioning, wondering aloud why the local media holds the Cowboys to such high standards. A few minutes later, on the way to his car, he pointed out that none of us ever played in the NFL, which might be why we don't get that wins don't come easy in this league.

This win definitely didn't come easy, and it doesn't seem like the 4-1 Cowboys were able to enjoy it, either.

The reason it doesn't feel like a good win is because the Bengals are 0-4-lol So I guess when you are in a dog fight with a team like that it's not easy to feel good.

Tony Romo is not a bus driver, to use a Bill Parcells term. He's more of a NASCAR kind of guy who would rather live with the occasional fiery mistakes than take his foot off the gas.

Romo had two such screw-ups today, throwing a pick to extend his INT streak to eight games and losing a fumble after scrambling for a first down. Those turnovers led to a couple field goals, and the damage would have been much worse if the Cowboys' defense didn't come through after the Bengals got great field position.

Romo's response: So what?

"I am pretty sure we won the ballgame," he said when asked whether he was concerned with his turnovers. "If you never turn the ball over as a quarterback, you are probably not going to be that good. Everyone strives for no turnovers, but there's no ways you are going to make plays sometimes if you don't trust it and just let it go."

It's tough to be too harsh in regards to Romo as long as his TD-to-turnover ratio stays in the 2-to-1 range. But one of his turnovers played a key role in the loss to the Redskins, and you wonder whether his problems protecting the ball will cost the Cowboys in a bigger game.

I don't like that response, He needs to understand that you cant average a INT once a game. I know they won the game but that still doesn't mean his turnovers should be ignored. He is too turnover prone right now

but tony is a nice guy, i don't like him- well mostly the jersey he wears and team he plays for lol, but he is a real good, young, still learning QB. I'd take him over a lot of guys lol. That said, I would also put Peyton Manning (when fully healthy of course), Tom Brady, Donovan and Favre in their, maybe the first 2-3 guys especially- including Tony.

Tony's better than alot of NFL QBs and I agree he's a nice guy. I like how he can come back from an int. and not let it get to him. What I don't like is his attitude alot of the time. I wonder if it goes down to the rest of the team because sometimes I feel like they don't care as much. Maybe I'm just used to a different set of players and how they do things. I know Troy Aikman was all about winning .
