well, every week, I always spin a new release (or semi-recent) at least once a day, usually at night when I'm winding down, because I am a huge music lover and always like to give new albums a lot of listens before giving a verdict to it, plus I love to broaden my musical horizons and what I listen to. Plus with my ADD, I really need to listen to something a lot of times before I really can form an opinion on something. Last album was Brian Wilson's "That Lucky Old Sun".

My inaugural one for this thread is Oasis' Dig Out Your Soul

Like a lot of people, I just thought of Oasis as a 90's Beatle knockoff who were long gone, but then I started posting on a place called UKMix and these guys are still very huge in Europe even if their popularity died stateside a decade ago after the disappointing "Be Here Now" album. Their new album is coming out this week in the UK and US but the online leak came out awhile back (don't worry, I legally buy what I like, and the Gallagher brothers will see my money as I plan to get the vinyl). I am quite impressed with the album and they've come a long way from "Wonderwall". All the songs lead into one another, which gives the album is nice flowing vibe.

Tracks to check out on YouTube: The Shock Of The Lightning, Falling Down, Soldier On, (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady

I love feedback, so I intend to read some. Whether that you like this idea or your opinions on Oasis, I'd love to read it :)

This will be done weekly although some weeks go by that I don't listen to a new album, such as for awhile in July/August when nobody was putting out new albums and I'd already caught up on all the other albums I wanted to get into by then.

Next week: Pretenders - Break Up The Concrete
