View Full Version : Has anyone ever been recognized in person, from Myspace?
so elektrikkxx 10-03-2008, 10:58 PM This is a serious question.
Many times I go to local football games and other kids are like "OMG you were michael morphine on myspace, right?!" and i tell them i was. and sometimes people introduce me to their friends and their friends are like, "wait, you're michael from myspace~~!!!11111"
It gets a little irritating sometimes but it's kind of funny.
Have any of you ever had someone recognize you in person from the internet, be it Myspace/Facebook/etc.?
Brad Russ 10-03-2008, 11:05 PM Never happened to me. Oddly though, I was actually thinking about this very topic today while at the store. I met this girl who was about my age and we started talking, and I thought to myself, What if this girl recognized me from myspace?? I thought about how embarrassed I'd be because of some of the more personal blogs I've written their. lol!
Hollow 10-03-2008, 11:07 PM hah, that's funny. i had a mutual recognition once at a collaborated choir concert when i ran into a middle school girl i'd talked to a few times over myspace. i've never had anyone i didn't know recognize me, though a few people i wasn't very familiar with have commented that they find my page entertaining.
MusicJunkie 10-03-2008, 11:19 PM well, not Myspace, but I did recognize faces from a local site while I was waiting for my friend to arrive before a concert not long ago.

I used to be your friend on Myspace when I had a different account, and I too found your page entertaining. :)

Yup. I have all teenaged stuff on my profile though lol, nothing special. Although, I do have a picture of Fonzie under people I would like to meet. If you really want the link Iris, PM me and I'll give you the link.
spreckenzeedeu 10-04-2008, 04:58 AM ^ Done
A couple of years ago I ran a Myspace page for a local bar I frequent. I wrote the blog, posted all the photos, etc., but i never revealed on the myspace page that i was in charge of the thing. Only a few of my friends knew.
Occasionally when I was hanging out at the bar people would come up to me and ask if i was the guy who wrote the myspace page.
Sometimes i would deny it, but if it was a cute girl, then of course i would take credit.
;)
Sharop 10-04-2008, 10:51 AM Hey Michael. :)
Nice to see you posting.
Most of my Facebook friends are people I either know or have at least met in passing. I do have some online friends who I haven't met and there are a few friends who have been added randomly. But the majority are people I either know or have met, so the likelihood of anyone recognising me from the Internet is slim. It's cool that you have been though. :)
Theda Bara 10-04-2008, 03:37 PM Yes, I have by a couple of bands that are on my friends list. I think it is flattering:)
Ohio8 10-07-2008, 07:01 PM NEVER.
