View Full Version : Biggest age difference in a couple?
Cactus Jack 10-03-2008, 11:36 AM Just a couple you know with the biggest age difference, can be celeb couples too LOL
Someone we knew in Dallas is 30, and her husband is 45/46.
Dusty's Fan 10-03-2008, 12:31 PM About the same -- I know someone in her early 30s who tells me her husband is 15 years her senior.
Wreckless 10-03-2008, 12:41 PM Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore
TripperFan 10-03-2008, 12:47 PM That would be my ex and his jailbait girlfriend. He's 50 and she's 32 or so (he won't admit her actual age, and I suspect she's even younger than that by the way she acts).
It looks gross - he looks like her father and they have very little in common.
Hollow 10-03-2008, 12:47 PM there was a married couple on the maury show a few years back...the husband was 14 and the wife was 42.
Wreckless 10-03-2008, 12:48 PM How about this shocker: Anna Nicole Smith and Old 82 year old guy with lots of money

That's the first one I thought of. Alley Mills (The Wonder Years) is 23 years younger than her husband, Orson Bean (Dr. Quinn).
Cactus Jack 10-03-2008, 01:04 PM Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore
I thought of them when creating this too LOL

I read an interview with Alley Mills and she said that she's never felt the age difference. They've been married for 15+ years, so I think that's cool.

sunshinefizzy 10-03-2008, 02:04 PM My great grandpa was 28 when he marries my great grandma. She was only 13.

Yeah, how did I forget about that too?

Good. That bitch was so damn annoying. Not to mention she made me feel ashamed to be born in 1985 too - she is so stupid, it hurts.
PZelda 10-03-2008, 02:37 PM This manwhore cousin of mine loves his gals young. In fact I'm pretty sure he has some charges against him for that. I remember a gf he had back in 2005 - I was 19 almost 20 then and she had to be at least 21/22. He was 41 then. :barf:
Sharop 10-03-2008, 03:07 PM My parents are 14 years apart - my Dad will be 61 in October and my Mum turned 47 in September.
We also know a couple (friends of my parents) that are 16 years apart, with the husband being the elder.
MusicJunkie 10-03-2008, 03:31 PM I don't like the double standards, you see it in Hollywood all the time with the treatment. Demi Moore is the same age as Tom Cruise and Ashton Kutcher is a year older than Katie Holmes, but people paint that couple as Demi marrying her midlife crisis to prove she's still hot. Yet nobody thinks there's anything off about Tom and Katie and there's a slightly larger age gap there with Tom being a few mos older than Demi and Katie being a year younger than Ashton.
Same with music. Mariah Carey is getting a lot of flack for marrying Nick Cannon, who is 11 years younger than her, while Billy Joel is 33 years older than his wife (who is only slightly older than his daughter with Christie Brinkley) and he's gotten less hell for it.
Theda Bara 10-03-2008, 04:08 PM I dated a man, whom was 19 years my senior. I was 26 and he was 45. Actually, the ironic thing was, I felt more mature and wiser than he was.
Needless to say, the relationship did not last (less than 6 months).
Cactus Jack 10-03-2008, 04:15 PM Kanye West had a song about that/about her  .

I meant to say gold digger but since he was old I said OLD digger
LOL

MonarC 10-03-2008, 04:44 PM Age aint nothing but a number. My dad is 18 years older then my mom they have been married over 25 years. So it just goes to show love knows no bounds.
PunkyP0WER 10-03-2008, 05:51 PM i'm 26 and my husband is 61
LuLu Rogers 10-03-2008, 08:31 PM I don't think age difference should be such a big deal. I've always been attracted to older guys, I dated a guy who was 12 years older than me for a short time. I'm 21 and I can tell you, if I found a nice, attractive guy in his 40's or maybe even 50's I'd be more than happy to date him. Call it disgusting if you will, but that's how I feel about it. :)
Brad Russ 10-03-2008, 09:53 PM I'm 27, and my ex Donna just turned 40 in July.
browneyes106 10-04-2008, 12:45 AM My cousin is married to guy that is 19 years older than her and one of my boss's stepson is married to a woman that is 16 years older than him.
phoebe7165 10-04-2008, 02:47 AM Celeb couple - Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones, 25 year age difference
When I was 22, I was dating a guy who was 41. Then when I was 24, I went the other way, and started seeing a younger guy.
MusicJunkie 10-04-2008, 03:52 AM I feel so unadventurous. The most shocking thing I did was date an 18 year old when I was 23.... and when I was 27 dated a 30 year old. Everyone else has been within a year or so of me.
Schmoopie 10-04-2008, 03:56 AM Celeb couple - Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones, 25 year age difference
I think they make a great couple, despite their age difference!
Are we only talking about married couples here, because I'm surprised that Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford weren't mentioned. I used to think that was sick; them being so far apart in age, but now it's not so bad. I'm not sure what their exact age difference is, though (Or even if they are still together for that matter!)
This doesn't really count as a huge age difference, but Jerry Seinfeld is 54 and his wife Jessica is 47. Hmmm... for some reason I was thinking that they were farther apart in age than that.
As for myself, I'm 41 and my husband is 47. That's only 6 years difference but it's funny when he tells me that in 1984 he graduated from college and then I tell him that I was a sophomore in high school in 1984!

tv star collector 10-04-2008, 08:03 AM Lauren Bacall was only 19 years old when she was cast in "To Have and Have
Not," opposite Humphrey Bogart. He was 45. They wed on May 21, 1945; and the marriage lasted until his death, in 1957.

I agree there, too! I've always been attracted to older guys (and dated, too)!! I'm just not interested in guys around my own age, for some reason.

I feel you on that! I think older guys just have a sense of maturity and experience  ;)

We are so much better in the sack, right?;)
I've always robbed the cradle. My last girlfriend was 14 years younger than me, and the one before her, was 10 years younger. But i have dated women the same age as me, or older.

 Wasn't gonna actually say it, but you know... ;)

I cannot believe I forgot about this classic couple! That was quite the age difference, wasn't it? But they looked so good together!

They sure did. I just watched again "To Have and Have Not" yesterday. On
one of the DVD extras, critic Leonard Maltin stated that actors make us
believe they're falling in love all the time--but when you see a couple actually
falling in love with each other (as Bogie and Bacall did on that film), it's
even better because it's real.
