In looking over a Keeping Up Appearances episode list, I noticed two titles (and descriptions) that I don't remember ever seeing on my PBS station -- Sea Fever and Angel Gabriel Blue.

Does anyone have information on these two episodes?? Thanks!!

They are not in the regular rotation because of their length. Sea Fever has Hyacinth getting Richard to take her on a crusie on the QEII, thinking Onslow and Daisy have stow-awayed on the ship (but actually they won a contest!)

Angel Gabriel Blue has Hyacinth wanting to redecorate the kitchen/house and drives Richard up the wall in search of that elusive color scheme--"Angel Gabriel Blue" (or something to that effect)--I watched this only once on my DVD copy of "Deck the Halls with Hyacinth" which has these episodes plus the Christmas episode and another one, which I can't recall at the moment

Well, that explains it -- I love KUA and couldn't understand how I had missed these two shows -- however, longer episodes would certainly throw a wrench into the PBS schedule.

Thank you for the information!

You're welcome, LeeBlue

I have seen on occasion that PBS stations will run these episodes only during pledge drives--where the longer length is broken up by the spots where they beg for your money

Ah, the infamous PBS drives -- lol -- I'll be on the look-out for these episodes then -- maybe I'll get lucky!

Is "Angel Gabriel Blue" the one, where Richard has an athlete's foot, but Hyacinth decides it's gout instead, because that sounds nicer? That episode was painful to watch.

^That maybe the one......in any case, I've watched only once and there's good reason......I didn't think the episode was that funny. I may pop it in again one of these days to refresh my memory. Sea Fever is a good one, but the extended episodes don't play as well as the regular ones--maybe there is just too much filler.

If it is the one, it was painful to watch, because while you feel sorry for Richard in almost every episode, this one and the Rolls-Royce episode still are the worst. Hyacinth doesn't think there's enough time to get Richard's shoe (Hyacinth had made him wear bandage on one foot to give the impression, that he's got gout instead of athlete's foot), so he has to drive through town with a bare foot. But he can't reach the pedals properly, so the car ends up bumping its way over to Daisy's and Onslow's. So obviously, there wasn't time to get the shoe, but there was time to go through town looking like idiots! I guess it was supposed to be funny somehow, but it was so stupid, and even out of character for Hyacinth, who normally wouldn't have wanted to look like an idiot, that it rather made me cringe than laugh. And to make this episode even worse, Richard ended up hanging upside down in a latter, because he gets stuck with his bandage, and no one helps him get down! Okay, Daddy just came home, but Onslow could have helped Richard! I've only seen it once too, and I'm not looking forward to see it again.

Sea Fever is a good one, but the extended episodes don't play as well as the regular ones--maybe there is just too much filler.
I totally agree here! "Sea Fever" was good, but other than that, the special episodes aren't as good as the regular ones.

My PBS station just ran through all of the KUA episodes -- but didn't show the two one-hour episodes -- Sea Fever and Angel Gabriel Blue.

I've checked the PBS store and my local FYE shop without any luck -- so now I'm off to Amazon.

Has anyone picked up these KUA shows elsewhere??

Thanks!!
