As hoped, Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines have signed on to join the cast of In the Motherhood, ABC's broadcast adaptation of the popular online series starring Chelsea Handler, Leah Remini and Jenny McCarthy, and chronicling "the hilarious ups and downs of motherhood."

While Mullally (a winner of two Emmys for her work on Will & Grace) and Hines (twice nominated for Curb Your Enthusiasm) represent the only official casting to date, there has been speculation that from the Internet original, Handler might cross over to round out the trio.

So does that mean Cheryl will be leaving Curb Your Enthusiasm, or does that mean she'll be on both shows? I imagine Curb doesn't have a very long shooting schedule. They only do ten half hour episodes a season, with long breaks in between seasons. :confused:

well, Chris Meloni comes to mind. He was doing Oz on HBO and Law And Order: SVU concurrently for four years. HBO shoots on different schedules than prime-time channels do

I know, that's why I'm thinking (and hoping) she might do both shows. I enjoyed the episodes last year when Larry and Cheryl were separated, and they can even be apart for a few more episodes next season, but I do think they need to get back together soon. Even though they're so different from each other, you can see she really loves him. And they're fun together. The actors have great chemistry with each other. The episodes with them apart were great and gave the show a sort of fresh new vibe, but you could tell something wasn't right, IMO. It will be a shame to lose her.

I posted a thread like this at TV.com where people were saying they hoped she didn't come back, but I think Larry and her are the perfect couple. No one but her would put up with all the stuff he gets into.

Considering that the show will shoot the new season sometime around or after December and they only have 10 episodes to shoot, and that Motherhood doesn't have a premiere date set, I think she will be back... if Larry wants the show to use her still.

right. she might not be in all of them anyway.
