Country star Dolly Parton has confirmed she's writing a movie and musical about her own amazing life— and she'll play herself on the big screen.
The singer/actress, who is receiving rave reviews in Los Angeles for writing the stage version of her hit movie 9 To 5, is hoping to follow up that project with a life story double whammy.
Parton reveals three actresses will portray her at different points in her life onstage— and she'd play the current Dolly if the musical is picked up as a movie.
She says, "I'm writing my own life story as a musical. I won't even probably be in it, but, if I do it as a movie, I would play the later part. It would be done with three Dollys I think."
