Actress Angie Dickinson turns 94 today. Born Angeline Brown, she got her start on television in the 1950s, starring in anthology series. She has appeared in more than 50 films. She's known to television audiences as Sergeant "Pepper" Anderson in the NBC crime series Police Woman which aired from 1974-78.

Two years later, she was offered the role of 'Krystle Carrington' on the ABC drama 'Dynasty', but turned it down (at the time of the offer, George Peppard was cast as 'Blake Carrington'). When the show became a hit on ABC, Dickinson expressed interest to Spelling for the role of 'Sable Colby' five years later, when Aaron Spelling was creating the spin-off 'Dynasty II: The Colbys'. She co-starred in the 1985 mini-series 'Hollywood Wives' which helped her come close to being cast, until Spelling saw actress Stephanie Beacham in the ITV drama 'Connie' and made her the offer, instead.
