View Full Version : Donna Reed Weekdays on TV Land Snowpeck 09-24-2001, 10:11 PM Weekdays at 8am beginning Oct 22! On TV Land! Richard 09-25-2001, 04:27 PM Any info on weather or not they'll show the episodes which were left out during the N@N days?...the episodes from season 4,6 and 7? TonyS 09-26-2001, 08:03 PM Hey Richard, Good question! I called Nick at Nite about that back in 1988 and they said those shows weren't available - they had no idea why. They told me if I wanted to see them I'd have to go to the museum of TV and Broadcasting in NY. I found out about those shows via the book Television Comedy Series, which lists synopses. There's other ones they didn't show too, like the debut of Petersen's singles. Richard 09-30-2001, 02:02 PM I saw the one where Paul Petersen sang My Dad,but have yet to see when he sang She Can't Find the Keys...to say nothing of when Shelley sang Johnny Angel. ------------------ Richard Ranke Pavan 10-05-2001, 11:42 AM TV Land has pushed back Donna Reed on Weekdays to Nov 5 (or the 12th?) Pavan 10-17-2001, 04:19 PM Donna Reed and the new weekends have been postponed until January. Fandemoniums (48 hour marathons) will continue through the end of December. So no Father Knows Best, Gidget, Monkees, F Troop, Superman, Donna Reed, Dennis, and whatever else that was scheduled. HepburnA1 10-29-2001, 04:38 PM Hi everybody! Where did you guys hear that TV Land was showing "TDRS"? I watch "TV Land" often and I haven't seen anything about that! I just checked their website and didn't see any mention of it their either. Can somebody clue me in? Thanks! I really miss this show! Joe Rockhead 08-01-2005, 03:39 PM I remember Shelley singing "Johnny Angel" from the old Nick@Nite era & also Paul singing "I've got to Be Free". I seem to remember a lot more episodes from those days than people around here seem to. They would loop it from the very first episode to the later ones chronologically. It would take months, then they would start them over again. Believe me I watched it loop 2 or 3 times. octobereve 08-02-2005, 10:41 AM Speaking of the episodes with singing, I vaguely remember a scene with Mary standing out on the porch in the dark, singing. I'm under the impression that this is after coming home from a date. That's all I remember. Does that sound familiar to anyone? I so regret not taping all the episodes back when it was on N@N. angeleye 08-05-2005, 05:57 AM [B]The problem is that TVLand has all of the copyrights to all of our favorite shows and why the heck can't they copy the entire series for people to enjoy on dvd? I can't understand it?! Charlie Chan 08-06-2005, 05:38 PM [B]The problem is that TVLand has all of the copyrights to all of our favorite shows and why the heck can't they copy the entire series for people to enjoy on dvd? I can't understand it?! TV Land does not have the copyrights on the shows. They only license them for broadcast. vedastone 08-08-2005, 05:31 PM Speaking of the episodes with singing, I vaguely remember a scene with Mary standing out on the porch in the dark, singing. I'm under the impression that this is after coming home from a date. That's all I remember. Does that sound familiar to anyone? I believe that episode was "Big Star", #161. The song is about Mary's friend becoming a big music star, and she being kind of sad that therefore he won't be around any more. octobereve 08-09-2005, 10:22 AM Thanks for the info. :) PhDinLiterature 09-04-2005, 11:54 PM Anybody recall a street address ever given on the Donna Reed Show for the Stone Family? octobereve 09-07-2005, 09:20 AM I can't remember anything specific, but more than one address was mentioned during the course of the series. Schmoopie 07-14-2008, 07:43 AM I know it's been years since this thread has been active but I thought this would be the best place to put this story. I didn't know that the Donna Reed Show existed until my little brother told me about it. He was in elementary school (yes! Really!)at the time (I think this was like 1985) and used to watch Nick at Nite all the time. Then I started watching it with him. Never in a million years did I think that an elementary school kid could teach a high schooler something! Andrea treky 07-19-2008, 01:48 AM Weekdays at 8am beginning Oct 22! Steverino 08-09-2008, 02:10 PM I knew better, but checked it out anyway...TVLand must have an interesting perspective-They think Good Times and Sanford and Son appeal to the masses, apparently. I guess it's true that stupid people dont know they're stupid. Coffeecup 08-23-2008, 03:12 PM This fall what 50's 60 or 70's shows are tvland showing. Did I see somewhere Scrubs is coming.
