FOX has lowered the ax on its comedy "DO NOT DISTURB" after three airings, EW's Michael Ausiello reports today.
Repeats of "'Til Death" will fill the vacant timeslot for now.
That was quick. The fall 2008 season just started this week, was this show THAT bad!? LOL

Yes.
Chocoholic 09-25-2008, 06:58 PM Till Death is not much better...
Mr. Television 09-25-2008, 07:01 PM Well when the creators started to apologize for their show....it was all but over.
Buffyboy323 09-25-2008, 07:02 PM Yes.
It must have been bad, really bad.
Buffyboy323 09-25-2008, 07:08 PM Well when the creators started to apologize for their show....it was all but over.
I know. I've never heard of anything like this. I understand a creator/producer apologizing for a few bad episodes, or even a rocky season, but your whole damn show? :rotflmao:
I know they only must have filmed a few episodes, but still, man, "I am sorry that my entire show sucked!" - If only other creators were this honest...
icecream 09-25-2008, 07:12 PM Just think, FOX cancelled Back to You for this crap. Let's see, Back to You was getting over 7 million viewers, Do Not Disturb this week dropped to 3.5 million viewers. :p

Seriously, this makes me even more pissed. This time last year, Back to You was averaging around 7.5 million viewers, pilot included. Do Not Disturb has only averaged around 3.8 million viewers. I just don't understand their reasoning behind any of the decisions they make.
But, was I right or what?-LOL. I said it would be gone in 3 episodes, and amazingly enough, it was. Anyways, cancelling this show is a step in the right direction. The step back in the wrong direction is putting repeats of Til Death in its place. Now this I don't get at all - these are likely to get lower ratings than DND. If they already have episodes in the can, why not just air the rest or put something else on its place? Too bad they couldn't have put the BTY unaired eps on instead, but that would be asking for a miracle.
ryan423 09-25-2008, 07:56 PM I say either 13-18 episodes of Til Death will air this season (that includes the 3 already) before it too gets the axe and we see repeats of House or Bones, lol.

We definitely won't be seeing a full season. My guess is 13 episodes, maybe a series finale, and then we'll see the last of it.
What FOX needs to do is rearrange their entire schedule. Here's my opinion:
Move Kitchen Nightmares to Wednesdays at 9pm, put 5th Grader/Lyrics back on Thursdays, with Til Death/a half-hour Hole in the Wall, and Moment of Truth on Friday nights. That really seems more reasonable than the schedule they have going now.
PrettyinPink55 09-26-2008, 01:57 AM Well when the creators started to apologize for their show....it was all but over.
WOW!!! I've never heard of that happening!!!
dawsongirl 09-26-2008, 02:12 AM Another hit for Jerry O'Connell!
Buffyboy323 09-26-2008, 02:36 AM Another hit for Jerry O'Connell!
Last year, he had a new show on ABC. It bombed. This year he had a new show on FOX, that bombed too. I wonder if the networks are going to be afraid to cast him on their new shows now, LOL. Look out CBS....
treky 09-26-2008, 02:47 AM WOW!!! I've never heard of that happening!!!
me either!! I never heard of the show, but it must have been REALLY BAD for the creator to actually apoligize for it!!
comedyfreak 09-26-2008, 04:17 AM I didnt' think it was that bad, it was better than Worst week.
Scoobiedoo30 09-26-2008, 12:40 PM Do Not Disturb has only been on the air for 3 week's
James28 09-28-2008, 03:31 PM Do Not Disturb was a lame sitcom. It didn't even deserve to last a full season.

Apparently it didn't even deserve to last a full month.

A test pattern for a half hour would be more entertaining than Worst Week.
