I bought the seven video "Make Room For Daddy/The Danny Thomas Show" set, and I've only seen one episode, but I've got to say something:

This has to be one of the most realistic 50s comedies!

Danny yelled at everyone! His children and his wife! And the children talked right back! That's the way it really was.

No Sean! Kids did not talk back to their parents that way!! I grew up in the 50's and kids just didn't do that and get away with it! At least not in my family! I always considered this show as a bad influence! Look what it has spawned! Smart mouthed brats! As a parent I just don't think things like this are cute! I really think that this show started all the disrespectful kid characters on television. True, my dad yelled at us but that was the way it was!The kids didn't DARE yell back! No I can say from experience that this was not true to life at that time! REALLY!

I have Goddlife TV and in about one half-hour I'll be watching my first episode.They way Sean explains it seems like it was the real thing.I mean don't you think kids talk back to their parents?They were just preparing for the future.Hye it was Danny Thomas.....what did you expect?
(We all know his best production was Marlo Thomas(below)):D
