The Vikings winning with Gus Ferottte
Bears losing to Tampa
Giants needimg OT to beat Cincy
49ers winning another game
Big C 09-21-2008, 08:11 PM Brian Griese throwing for over 400 yards

I guess you didn't watch the game. Mcnabb missed one series. The Steelers don't have an offensive line, if you would have watched the game you would have seen the Eagles defense getting 9 sacks. I don't know about Pittsburgh not being sh*t, the defense only gave up 15 points. How many points did your beloved Cowboys give up to the Eagles..... Please tell me I forgot.

I will say their OFFENSE on the road ain't Sh*T. The last two weeks on the road, a total of 16 points.

Indy ain't for real, and the Giants took the bengals lightly.
Wreckless 09-21-2008, 08:28 PM Well Pittsburgh isn't good on the road but they are $***. They are a great team. Our defense played spectacular. A safety, an interception, 9 sacks (actually it was 11 sacks, they took 2 sacks away from us on penalties) and constant pressure on Roethlisberger, who is great at maneuvering in the pocket. Give the Eagles D credit. I'm shocked Cincy almost won vs. the Giants today but no go.
TVFactFan 09-21-2008, 08:32 PM Indy ain't for real, and the Giants took the bengals lightly.
That win from last week caught up with their a$$ this week-lol They lost the same way today they won last week.
Wreckless 09-21-2008, 08:36 PM And I'm not overly shocked at the Bears losing to TB. TB is an underrated, good team. They have 2 good QBs- I prefer Garcia over Greise but they're both good. They have a good defense, Cadillac Williams isn't bad but is injured and decent receiving core.
TVFactFan 09-21-2008, 08:38 PM And I'm not overly shocked at the Bears losing to TB. TB is an underrated, good team. They have 2 good QBs- I prefer Garcia over Greise but they're both good. They have a good defense, Cadillac Williams isn't bad but is injured and decent receiving core.
You still prefer Garcia over Griese after what he has done the last 2 weeks?
Wreckless 09-21-2008, 08:41 PM Yeah, and not just cause Garcia was on the Eagles, I think he is good anyways. Well today I saw Griese threw for 407 yards but he had 65 attempts, he had like 6 yards an attempt. So if he had 30 attemps he would of only had 183 yards passing. It was just a lot of attempts so his passing yards racked up. Griese is good but I'll take Garcia, he was good in San Fran to begin with.
littlebelle 09-21-2008, 08:49 PM Hawks fist win, yay! Not really a surprise that they beat the rams but whatever, it still counts as a win.
Wreckless 09-21-2008, 08:50 PM The local high school football team in my town could beat the Rams  . They are the team, if you need a big win to get back on track, face the Rams . They need Dick Vermeil back lol.
littlebelle 09-21-2008, 09:04 PM I know, when I first read the schedule earlier I was like rams vs hawks @ home... yay! our first win. Lol.
Wreckless 09-21-2008, 09:05 PM lol...there ya go, a gimme.
Big C 09-21-2008, 09:28 PM Seattle's off the hook with a win, but the Rams are AWFUL!!
You could have inserted Angela Watson as the QB of the Seahawks, and she'd throw for over 600 yards.
littlebelle 09-21-2008, 09:33 PM You could have inserted Angela Watson as the QB of the Seahawks, and she'd throw for over 600 yards.

Dutabi84 09-21-2008, 10:38 PM It's amazing how much better a football team is with a quarterback throwing the ball that's capable of making a good decision. I was hoping Tarvaris Jackson would be that guy, but old man Gus looked pretty decent today.

Can't still believe he is still in the league after all this years
mriggles 09-21-2008, 11:02 PM there is nothing anyone can say about the eagles today. They beat a first class team (the best in the afc if you ask me) End of story
TVFactFan 09-21-2008, 11:08 PM there is nothing anyone can say about the eagles today. They beat a first class team (the best in the afc if you ask me) End of story
The Best team sure would have scored more 6 points. The best team in the AFC to me is the Titans
Mr. Television 09-21-2008, 11:11 PM I don't think the Steelers looked that great last week against Cleveland either. Cleveland had a few boneheaded moments or they might have won that game.
mriggles 09-21-2008, 11:32 PM The Best team sure would have scored more 6 points. The best team in the AFC to me is the Titans
Solomon your smarter than that...cmon
you think perhaps the eagles had something to do with the fact they only had 6 points? the eagles shut down a very good offense. The titans are a good team but they are not in my opinion the best in the afc. The afc is very strange right now.
Schmoopie 09-21-2008, 11:33 PM Seattle's off the hook with a win, but the Rams are AWFUL!!

That's true, but a win is a win! At least they aren't an embarrassment like the UW Huskies have been.

Mike, it's something wrong with the Steelers offense or the play calling because they scored 10 points against a 0-3 Browns team last week and 6 points today. BTW, the Ravens scored 28 pts on that browns team the steelers couldn't score against last week. This is not the same steelers offense, defense looks the same
littlebelle 09-22-2008, 02:05 AM That's true, but a win is a win! At least they aren't an embarrassment like the UW Huskies have been.

The cougs are worse!
Big C 09-22-2008, 02:20 AM The Cougs DID win, littlebelle.
BTW, LB, I challenge you to another avatar bet.
This one would have far lower stakes than our last one.
It'll be for the Seahawks/Cardinals game in November.
Details would emerge if you accept.
DO YOU?

Um, I'd have to think about that one. Maybe I'll decide after another Hawks game.
Wreckless 09-22-2008, 09:20 AM MrIggles, he doesn't understand that the Steelers are an excellent team in a tough conference and that we blitzed the hell out of them. They are better then Tennesse in my mind, but both are good.
TVFactFan 09-22-2008, 03:04 PM MrIggles, he doesn't understand that the Steelers are an excellent team in a tough conference and that we blitzed the hell out of them. They are better then Tennesse in my mind, but both are good.
Steelers have been exposed as a Fraud
MrCleveland 09-22-2008, 03:43 PM The Browns might as well call themselves the Cleveland Steamers because their year is down the toilet.
There's never next year for Cleveland!
And I already took the Browns to the Super Bowl this morning!
Wreckless 09-22-2008, 05:32 PM Solomon, that is true but a lot of AFC teams are iffy this year lol. Chargers who play against Broadway Brett & the Jets tonight. I'd say NYJ are ok, SD, PIT, IND, JAC are all on the fence this year. Probably more I am missing. NE is a good team but they may be on the fence too. It's only Week 3, I'll say it again.
TVFactFan 09-22-2008, 06:24 PM In the AFC
Titans have the Best Defense
Broncos have the Best Offense
In the NFC
Dallas has the best Offense
Giants have the Best Defense
Wreckless 09-22-2008, 06:56 PM I don't know if the Giants have the best d. They have a good d but I could name a couple other defenses in the NFC that are good as well. Plus they don't have a Strahan, Wilson or Umeniorya.
mriggles 09-22-2008, 11:40 PM Mike, it's something wrong with the Steelers offense or the play calling because they scored 10 points against a 0-3 Browns team last week and 6 points today. dude you may be right in the long run, but I am telling you the steelers are a very good team that ran into a buzzsaw yesterday. Only time will tell. I think they will absolutely destroy the ravens next week

Titans appear to be good, but I want to see them against the steelers or the colts... I am nowhere near sold on the titans
mriggles 09-22-2008, 11:42 PM Steelers have been exposed as a Fraud
I couldn't disagree with you more

Why do you care are you a Eagles fan too?
Big C 09-23-2008, 07:18 PM Why do you care are you a Eagles fan too?
No.
I watched the Bears game and, given how McNabb has played well this season and combined with how Griese torched them through the air,
I want to get mriggles thoughts on their upcoming game.
(Buffalo plays the toothless Rams; they could play the whole game blindfolded and win by four touchdowns)
Wreckless 09-24-2008, 07:44 AM FSU is allowed to have an opinion as far as football goes, Solomon. He's not a Eagles fan but he's talking about football. I'm not a Titans fan but if I see Kerry Collins doing good, I will say so.

See yall have to understand that for a long period of time on this board there were no eagles fans at all, so it's still difficult for me to deal with because I hate them so much. And when they won I never had to worry about someone being happy about it on this board which is why the 2002-2005 era of this site should be put in a frame-lol
TVFactFan 09-24-2008, 11:07 AM Bet the rent on the steelers Solomon
Going by how they looked against the browns I say the ravens should win
James 09-24-2008, 12:56 PM My surprise was the Ravens (you know, with Joe Blow as QB?) coming back vs. Cleveland.
Wreckless 09-24-2008, 01:04 PM Yeah but their are Eagles fans here now lol. Actually, FSU and the Steelers fan aren't Eagles fans and they talked about them, so it's ok to talk about them.

Now that sounds like someone who can't handle losing. I can't stand the Giants and Cowboys, but do you see me bashing them when they win?
TVFactFan 09-24-2008, 06:51 PM Now that sounds like someone who can't handle losing. I can't stand the Giants and Cowboys, but do you see me bashing them when they win?
It's just easier to handle when there are no eagles fans celebrating
Mr. Television 09-24-2008, 06:52 PM My surprise was the Ravens (you know, with Joe Blow as QB?) coming back vs. Cleveland.
Remember the Ravens won 13 games just 2 years ago...they do have a foundation there. Last year they had alot of injuries not to mention some bad coaching decisions which cost the team a few wins. I have watched them in both games so far and they look very good. The defense seems to be back and their new QB is moving the offense. They're also using the running game which Billick never liked to do for some reason. I'll probably take Pittsburgh this week because it's in Pittsburgh ( I don't know how the new qb will react to a hostile environment)but it wouldn't surprise me if the Ravens won.
GARFIELDKOOL 09-24-2008, 06:54 PM It's just easier to handle when there are no eagles fans celebrating

Solomon do I celebrate after a win? No, I come on here after every game & post my thoughts on the game. Virtually every week (win or lose) there are positives & negatives in those thoughts. I am sorry my arrival to these boards back in 05 ruined your fun, but hey I have every right to post about the eagles.
I hate the giants as much or more than you hate the eagles & do you see me bashing any giant fans when they are pumped about their team? No you don't

I hope it's an Eagles, Steelers Super Bowl.
Wreckless 09-25-2008, 04:44 PM Bandito, I hope it's the same. I don't like many teams in the AFC, but I like the Steelers, well I have a deep respect for them and their franchise. Roethlisberger, they have a lot of good players, currently and within their historic franchise.

I had a technical difficuly combined with my daily life but I can probably get it done tomorrow. It won't be the cowboys and eagles, instead it wil be eagles and skins.
something was wrong with the quality of the 89-Cowboys at Eagles game
Wreckless 09-25-2008, 06:53 PM Well how about the other Eagles/Cowboys game? I'd like the skins, but not as much as the other 2 games.
and what was wrong with the quality?
Mr. Television 09-25-2008, 06:59 PM the 89 Cowboys.......they were awful. The only game they won was against the Redskins...I was lucky enough to see all of their wins on TV that year.

Wreckless 09-26-2008, 11:24 AM The game when the Eagles clinched the NFC east and won 23-7
Is that in good quality? I would of liked the other Eagles/ Dallas game but if it really doesn't work, I'll take this game you're talking about. Can you mail sometime today/tomorrow?
Wreckless 09-26-2008, 11:27 AM Solomon do you have the 2005 nfc championship game eagles falcons on tape?
Yeah I want that as well. Matter fact, I still have the Superbowl tape, like everything. The Pre Game Show and the singing, national anthem etc. all that. Even though we didn't win, I still like it, the game was great, we had a great season and team that year and I will still keep it and cherish it. I'm not gonna say we should of won, even if it's true cause of the Pat's cheating, because you can't say, coulda, woulda shoulda, when your team can just get it done anyway, instead of wishing things would happen.

Mr. Television 09-26-2008, 08:33 PM Well, the Ravens did lose Jonathan Ogden and Steve McNair to retirement. Not to mention get a new coach!
That's a positive. McNair was awful last year and hurt , Ogden could hardly play and Billick lost the team. How many games did they lose because he wanted to pass instead of just running the ball? I lost count. The players were starting to call him out. Ray Lewis even bashed his playcalling on his radio show. I watch the Ravens practically every week. It's my Dad's favorite team so I know. lol
Wreckless 09-27-2008, 10:58 AM I can defintely get it done this weekend since I have a 3 day weekend
