I am 95% sure this is Unsolved Mysteries and not AMW...

There is an old lady driving down a country road at night and a car pulls up next to her and starts to terrorize her.. I think they started hitting her car with chains and bats, until she plowed off of the road. She lived, but was severely injured and was bleeding heavily.
