*Lindsay Lohan - Compare the way Lindsay look circa 2003-2004 (about the peak of her success) to afterwards, when the drugs and partying really started to take their toll. I also didn't appreciate it when Lindsay kept dying her hair, even though her red hair was kind of her trademark.
*Kathleen Turner - Back when Kathleen was fit (a la in the 1980s), I could overlook her deep voice. But now, after putting on a crap load of weight, her voice is a massive turn off.
*Meg Ryan
*Nikki Cox
*Katie Holmes (after Tom Cruise got a hold of her)
*Priscilla Presley - She looked like a damn mannequin on "Dancing with the Stars". Compare her to somebody similar to her age like Helen Mirren, who looks more graceful and natural for her age. Priscilla used to be incredibly beautiful when she was on "Dallas" and in the "Naked Gun" movies.
*Sara Rue - I didn't like it when she lost a ton of weight and cut her hair (which she dyed to be strawberry blonde). It was as if, she had gotten really sick. I thought that she was so cute for a full figured girl (she's kind of a poor man's version of Drew Barrymore) on "Less than Perfect".
*Carrie Fisher - Sometime after she was finished with the "Star Wars" trilogy (she lost to have a cute, Linda Blair look to her when she was younger), Carrie really started to age rapidly. I saw her on "Smallville" a while back, and she looked like she could've been ten years older than her actual age.
*Margot Kidder - Margot looked incredibly skinny and gaunt in the Richard Lester version of "Superman II". By the time she did "Superman IV" she looked old enough to be Jimmy Olsen's mother.
*Brigette Nielsen - She looked so weathered when she appeared on "The Surreal Life" and "Flavor of Love" in contrast to her peak in the '80s.
*Kirsten Dunst - Like Margot Kidder in the later "Superman" movies, Kirsten was relatively hot in the first "Spider-Man" movie, but later on, seemingly lost too much weight.
*Amy Winehouse - She was actually, remotely actractive when she had a curvier frame and wasn't doing so much drugs.
*Jenny McCarthy - I don't like that bob haircut that she has been sporting lately.
*Pamela Anderson - I thought she looked best back in the early stages of her carrer, when she guest starred on "Married... with Children" and was on "Home Improvement". After that, she became too trashy and plastic looking for my taste.
*Laura Prepon - She shouldn't have dyed her hair blonde.
*Melanie Griffith
*Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen - Mary Kate and Ashley were cute (in kind of a girls next door sort of way) around the beginning of the 2000s (around the time they were doing that show "So Little Time") and shortly after turning 18. But ultimately, they (especially Mary Kate) started losing a ton of weight possibly from smoking, partying too much, and what not.
*Sally Struthers

I have to agree with all your choices here. Especially Lindsay Lohan. I loved her red hair. She looks horrible as a blond! As for the Olson twins, they were cute until about the next to last season of Full House-and it went all downhill from there.

I watched a movie with Helen Hunt the other night, and I was floored by how old she looked. I went to imdb, and I saw she's only 45. She looks nice in the pictures there. In the movie, there were a lot of outside scenes, and on my big screen, she looked, not good. I think she got too thin or something. Her hair was long, so it gave her a witchy look. I did enjoy the movie, Then She Found Me. Bette Midler was fantastic.

Well, I'm not one of these people that think if you gain weight you're not pretty anymore.

That said Priscilla Barnes is another Company alum that went downhill after plastic surgery. Actually Suzanne Somers looks like a mannequin. Joyce had obvious work done but she's the only one that looks human to me out of the girls.

Meg Ryan looks weird as well. Guess it's not like she's Jennifer Grey and you can't tell it's her anymore.

Of course if Mk Olsen and Amy took better care of themselves they might look pretty again.

Kirstie Alley was looking pretty bad for a while there, because she'd gotten VERY overweight (I'm sure she was on the low end of obese for a while, too) and ugh. But thank god she turned her life around and looks OODLES better now.

I don't think Mary has had much cosmetic surgery. I think it's been her diabetes. She's always been rail thin and as you age, if you're that thin it just looks worse. It's her eyes - I swear she's been going blind for years now - there's a weird, vacant cast to her eyes. I'm the same - I can't really look at her because of it - poor thing.

It could be she had recently had surgery and was still healing from it, but if so:

(1) don't attend any functions where they'll be snapping pics of you that will be forwarded on the internet forever.....
and
(2) at least layoff the excessive eyeliner and sparkly eyeshadow that only emphasizes it.

Meg Ryan has done something to her mouth at the very least. She in other words, now has a "trout pout".

Ever since she hooked up with Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes has seemingly lost a ton of weight. Also she has needlessly cut her hair shorter and shorter (and each time, it has gotten more unflaterring). She has practically aged at least five years since this time.

Jenny McCarthy still looks good, it's just that her short, bob haircut doesn't suit her. Not everybody can easily get away with that particular look.

I have a good friend that had some Restalyne (sp?) injected that looked very natural. She did have those lines over her lips (and no, she doesn't smoke). It looked beautiful. She researched the doctor and clinic for a long time before making her decision. You just have to do your research, and if that also means having to pay top dollar, then you do it. I can't believe how many celebs still go to uncertified doctors or even to Mexico for work.

I don't know about recent years since she got all into the Kaballah and suddenly started believing more in karma and everything, but I do remember hearing that she was on a Barbra Streisand/Diana Ross/Whitney Houston level of nasty to her fans back in the early 90's, and there's an infamous photo of her hitting a fan back in the days where she was married to Sean Penn. But that was all 15-20 years ago, I know a few people who got her autograph when she did a record signing in NYC a few years ago and didn't have anything bad to say, but I think you have to force niceness at a record signing.

But then with celebrities, I think they all have their bad days (just like everyone) and even the nicest celebrity probably has a fan who thought they were a jerk.

I saw that movie too, and Bette was great I agree. I honestly had to hand it to Helen for doing the opposite of what most actresses her age do and actually went unglamorous for that movie. I felt the same way during the Sex And The City movie when we saw the big close-up of Carrie without her makeup on (for this I think it was even a bigger shock since SATC has always focused on style and yet we see Carrie at her most basic). I think it's incredibly brave and great that actresses like Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker will actually bare their morning face to the camera in an industry that is shallow and demands its actresses to be beautiful.

Yeah, like Meg Ryan, and Melanie Griffith's lips are all over her face. She's got to hang onto that husband of hers, who looked lousy himself in the last movie I saw him in.

well, it seems like all the celebrities mentioned so far have either gone to hell via drug use (Amy Winehouse) or plastic surgery (Madonna, Joan Van Arc, Meg Ryan, etc...), so it's almost been all preventable.

For instance, while she doesn't look great these days, I don't see anyone name-dropping Bette Midler, someone who is infamous for being anti-botox and cosmetic surgery. While she is past her prime in looks (I think she looked her best in the early 90's when she had short blonde hair), she looks precisely what Bette Midler should look at 62, as opposed to a walking piece of plastic.

Amen... There are some other ladies out there who I'm pretty sure have had very little to no plastic surgery done, and they are looking fabulous. Vicki Lawrence, for instance. She's six months away from turning 60(!) and although she frequently commits fashion faux pas, she looks pretty damn good for her age. Unfortunately, it's pretty hard for me to find pictures of her that aren't from 2005 or earlier.

Pretty sure this is from earlier this year. Completely untouched picture. An online buddy of mine (who is also on here but doesn't post here on CC) went to see her when she performed in Indiana(? not sure).

Another one I can think of is Betty White. Yes, I realize she's 86 now. But DAMN she aged REALLY gracefully. She looked pretty damn nice when she was in her 50s and being Sue Ann Nivens on "Mary Tyler Moore" in the 1970s. Betty has also essentially had that hairstyle FOREVER, which I also like. I realize the Sue Ann pic is pretty scary, but whatever. lol. I wish she were one of my grandmas!

Jessica Biel as well - She was attractive until she went blonde (washed her out) and started having a love affair with the collagen! She had full lips to begin with...so I don't know why she did that to herself.

With her dark hair she actually reminds me a lot of Ava Gardner.

I think Michael Jackson and Keith Richards have gone to a voodoo priest and had "Death Becomes Her" done to them, except while they are still active, the rigormortis started early. Especially Keith (who had his surgery first I think), nobody pulls off the exhumed body of a corpse that died 30 years ago better than him.

There are some women out there, whom I believe can get away with having a short hairdo like Winona Ryder for example. It depends on the woman's body type and facial structure.

Farrah was looking great into the mid-90's, she's had a lot of health problems so her downward spiral in looks is understandable. It reminds me of Rue McClanahan, she looks older than Betty White and Bea Arthur now, mainly because of the breast cancer she battled and everything, so it's understandable that she looks worse.

Farrah is another who was very ill. She had cancer. That can age you beyond your years. I had a friend who fought cancer and it made her look 20 years older than she was when it was all over.
I haven't heard if Farrah is cancer free but I hope so.

Maureen O'Hara IMO was and still is a beautiful lady. Cloris Leachman is in her 80's and on Dancing with the stars. I should be so lucky to look that good and move that well at her age.
