What the Hell Was that? Who is the chick in charge of Luther Corp. I'm a bit lost on where things are going with the show and I kinda like it but I kinda don't. What happened to Kara? And the Recap Trailer was alright, but I’ve seen better on the Smallville Trailer Maker website. Here it is:

This thread should have been posted on the Smallville message board. It would get more
attention there.
Having said that, to answer your first question: Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman) is a mysterious woman who takes over Luthor Corp, in Lex's absence. Another new villain is Davis Bloome (Sam Witwer), a charming EMT
who becomes a vicious killer at night. He is loosely based on the alien monster
Doomsday, who killed Superman in a 1992 comic-book story line (which made
the front page of many newspapers on what was a slow news day). Meanwhile, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) has left the cast of characters (though a guest shot is possible), and Lana Lang (Kristen Kreuk) will only appear in a handful of episodes. A romance between Clark Kent (Tom Welling) and Lois Lane (Erica Durance) will finally begin to slowly take shape this season.

The show is not going to be the same without Lex. Chloe is finally second billed....all the other original cast have left. lol

Yes, I noticed Allison Mack getting second billing. That does seem strange
after seven seasons for her to rise all the way to the second spot. Way to
go, Allison!

i was a little confused by parts of the episode, but I wasn't disappointed.

- unless we are talking about Laura Vandervoort not being on the show anymore :(

I am glad too that Allison is now billed second. Of course, she is the only original cast member left after Tom Welling.

And that's why I think the show should wind things up this season. All of the original supporting cast is gone; things aren't the same.

Finally got around to watching the season premiere yesterday. Let's see...

I don't like the idea of bringing in some new cast member who we've never seen before and suddenly she's in charge of Luthorcorp.

I know Smallville has always had plot holes you could drive a truck through, but they're really getting sloppy.

Lois gets caught snooping in Lex's mansion (loved the French maid outfit, BTW) then she manages to infiltrate a top secret Luthorcorp facility and help spring Chloe, and she STILL HAS HER JOB AT THE DAILY PLANET, WHICH IS OWNED BY LEX LUTHOR!

Also Clark gets a job at the Daily planet, which is owned by Lex Luthor, a man who hates Clark Kent. You would think that Lex would have told people down at Human Resources that if some guy named Clark Kent ever applies for a job, don't hire him!

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong...

I love the episode. At last,Clark shows some heroism and defenetly wants to move on in the right direction.

As for Lois & Clark at DP.You know it had to happen sometimes. It's no longer Lex who is in charge(he is missing),it's the new girl,Tess.I think that she wants to keep an eye on those 2 so,she can supervised all their investigations. You know the old say:keep your friends close but, your ennemis closer.
