So I'm sitting here just starting my paper basically and it's due in 10 hours. While I have a lot of hours left to do it, I still did it/tend to do things last minute- basically homework and anything else that has to do with school- projects, studying for tests etc.. Anybody else have this problem or habit of doing? It's a pain in the - but I know I shouldn't be doing it last minute. Recently I have been doing better, I'll study early and more and do my homework right away, that way it's not done last minute. Just wondering if anybody else has done this and how they've gotten out of it or does it? I'm just wondering, I don't need any major help with defeating it but it would be nice.

I'll answer your question later ;)
I procrastinate a lot too. I get overwhelmed too easily, but I find that when I break tasks down and tackle things one at a time, I function better and procrastinate less.

i'm definitely not new to procrastination. i've written papers around 2 in the morning when they're due the same day in the afternoon. i've been getting better about it though and have been starting them earlier. mainly because i cannot keep randomly pulling all nighters and then expect to function normally at school the next day. and my grades are a lot better when i'm done at least a day earlier. now when i've got papers to do, i'll set aside dates and attempt to do it in parts, so i'm not doing everything all at once. i still procrastinate on some things, but the bigger papers not so much.

I'm a huge procrastinator. When it came to writing papers for school, I was last minute too, but I never had to stay up till the wee hours of the night. I usually got them done before midnight.

That's a good one! :rotflmao: I am pretty bad when it comes to procrastinating! My husband's birthday is Tuesday and I have yet to go shopping! But as long as I get everything done by then, I think I'm okay!

We must have the same middle name, Monika! ;) I can't tell you the number of times I started a paper the week it was due. I'm sure more than a few of my parents' gray hairs can be attributed to that, hehe. But now that I'm out of school, the main thing I procrastinate on is laundry. I tend to wait until my hamper's ready to explode. LOL I think procrastination is a part of human nature, or at least that's what I tell myself. I wish I could give you advice on how to stop, but I don't really know either!
