Jaleel White must have played one part at a time, but how could he do that when a live audience was watching? They must have seen both Steve and Stefan in the same scene, or didn't they? I know you can cut the scenes together so it looks like there ar two of Jaleel, but I don't get how they showed that it front of a live audience.

They could have used a look a like. Many times shows will use actors that closely resemble the main actor for those scenes. Didn't Family Matters stop being filmed in front of a LIVE audience towards the later years of the series?

Well, as I remember it, we didn't get to see Steve's face (or we did, but it was somewhat out of focus), when he did the Bruce Lee stunts, so I guess it wasn't Jaleel, but someone else with a similar body.
