View Full Version : Seahawks WR Nate Burleson out for the season with a knee injury (Sorry, LB)
Big C 09-08-2008, 05:54 PM Just heard that Burleson, the Seahawk wideout, is done for the year with a knee injury.
I think Seattle's window of opportunity is about to close. With Holmgren stepping down after this year, Shaun Alexander gone, and a string of injuries and team losses (Babineaux), I think the Seahawks' window of opportunity is closing shut.
A lot of our favorite teams are being bit by the injury bug.
Brian Damage is a Giants fan, and Osi's out.
Janice is a Pats fan, and Brady's done.
Now littlebelle's team is decimated by injuries (Deion Branch is still iffy).
TVFactFan 09-08-2008, 07:17 PM I'm surprised it was breaking news because I never heard of the guy until today
mriggles 09-08-2008, 09:38 PM That is a blow for the seahawks for sure... I agree, I think the seahawks may be a team on the decline now. They are still good but not on the cowboys or giants level anymore
littlebelle 09-08-2008, 10:04 PM Yeah, it sucks. I'm staying positive though. I mean, this is my home team, I'll always love them no matter what and I've been liking them since the 90's... ... so I think I've seen the worst.

Yeah, I'm sure it's disappointing for Mike Holmgren, being that it's his last year and all, but at least he can say that he took the Hawks to the Superbowl! :)

Yeah, I've never heard of so many injured players being out for the season after only the first game! What's up with that?
Now littlebelle's team is decimated by injuries
I love the Seahawks, too! :(
Wreckless 09-09-2008, 04:07 AM You never heard of Burleson? lol. He's been around for a couple years- sucks for Seattle. Another team that's getting out of the way for the Eagles :). Thank you!
Wreckless 09-09-2008, 04:08 AM Seahawks are a real good team, but they have a lot of wideouts injured. Big problem. You need guys that'll fill in and get the job done, so we'll see. It's only one Week. You never know- Seattle could get hot and go on a winning streak of some sort lol.
mriggles 09-10-2008, 08:20 PM well we have the seahawks in seattle later on this year.. I don't care how bad they are... that joint is tough to play in
Wreckless 09-10-2008, 10:20 PM Lofa Tatupu
littlebelle 09-11-2008, 12:55 AM Lofa Tatupu
That's my guy... remember that time we beat Philadelphia on monday night football 42-0? or when he intercepted three passes and returned them for a total of 110 yards off of QB A.J. Feely? Poor Feely . Or when he went on that eagles killing spree in general??

Yeah- considering Feeley is our 3rd QB, I guess you feel special like you beat McNabb or something , like the special ed guy that passes out free stickers to anyone who cares .
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 02:46 AM Eagles Killing Spree? Don't you mean our 3rd string QB vs. your starting QB. Somebody in here is knowledgeable!
littlebelle 09-11-2008, 01:07 PM Um, yep. During that wonderful monday night game, he had three sacks and three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. LATER ON IN THE SEASON, he continued to kick the eagal's butts. Need I make it more clear for you?
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 06:21 PM Later on in the season? We played you once that season. And it was our Third string QB vs. your starter and you barely won lol. Who are you kidding?
Big C 09-11-2008, 06:44 PM The Eagles getting demolished by the Seahawks, IMO, was karmic payback for the Eagles taking a flier on Terrell Owens.
T.O. called them out (rightfully so- GIVE THE MAN THE MONEY! HE EARNED IT!) and wanted an extension- instead, the Eagles front office acted like a bunch of spineless cowards, and they paid for it that year- getting pummeled by Denver, Dallas, the Eagles, Giants, Redskins, Seattle- you name it.
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 06:47 PM What does T.O. have to do with Seattle? You're just looking for a reason to talk crap about the Eagles. Didn't the Bills lose 4 straight superbowls?
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 06:49 PM T.O. earned it? The dude is a loser, with no class, the Drew Rosenhaus Next Question incident, him being a little crybaby- Team Obliterator! He had to call out McNabb, at least Donovan was healthy that year, unlike B.O. T.O. did the same to Garcia and will do the same to Tony Homo. Stop acting like Terrell is a nice man, when he isn't. Btw, that's my quarterback! Getting pummeled that year? We didn't even play Denver that year, what year are you talking about LOL? And we beat every team in our division, we were 6-0 vs. division teams that year. I think you need to lay off the drink my friend lol.

My bad I meant to say later seasons... like 07 I think? Sorry, don't have the best memory for football games... my hate towards to cheaters (ahem I mean Stealers) has taking over that part of my brain.
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 07:59 PM Yeah- know your facts before you start to bad mouth the Eagles. Cheaters? We're not the Pats- cool it.
littlebelle 09-11-2008, 08:02 PM Yeah- know your facts before you start to bad mouth the Eagles. Cheaters? We're not the Pats- cool it.
I was talking about the Steelers.
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 08:05 PM How are the Steelers cheaters? You mad cause you lost that superbowl? lol. If anything, the Pats cheated in our superbowl. They have cheated before- the Steelers haven't to my knowledge.

I'm referring to the 2005 season.
They lost to Denver 49-21, got routed in Big D by the Cowboys 33-10, gagged a late lead in ther MNF rematch against the Boys in Philly.
Then, there was the aforementioned Seattle massacre on national TV.
That year, they went 0-6 against the NFC East.

I don't remember the losses to the Giants but I do off the top of my head remember the losses to the skins and cowboys
skins-won 17-10 on ESPN
Skins-won 31-0 last game of year
Cowboys won 33-10 in Dallas
Cowboys won 21-20 in Philly
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 09:04 PM Yeah and the Eagles beat dallas 49-7 a year before  on MNF too..

So? We went 6-0 the previous year, so it wipes that out.
Buffalo- 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994

Yeah I had the flu & still went to the game & sat thru that snow storm & thats how I was rewarded? I ended up staying in center city that night @ the loews hotel, man that bar was packed with angry eagle fans...

ME O is an absolute and utter disgrace to the sport. He had the city in the palm of his hands.... He had the perfect scenario, and the man blew it. He is a selfish piece of garbage that will always be remembered as a me player... I actually warmed up to the guy that year & minutes after the superbowl he gets on the mic & says " well I had a good game, I played well, it wasn't my fault"... He lost me after that, I was fuming & i knew trouble was brewing after that comment & rightfully so. I am so glad he is on the cowboys now, because we get to play him 2 times a year &it is just a matter of time before he implodes again & this time no sorry team will pick his sorry butt off the mat.

Not me...the guy is a cancer & you will see, first time dallas gets into a funk this year...the rumbilings will begin..
I noticed he is " dareing the eagles to cover him monday night"
Hmm lets see How has he done against us since he left for little D?? LITO OH OH OH OH...
INTERCEPTED BY SHEPPARD!!!!
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 11:27 PM Yeah MrIggles, LITO! T.O. can't shut his mouth- he's a cancer to every team. The first week he came to Small D, Parcells was pissed off @ him . B.O. was sitting out of practice/not practicing, pissing off his coach and making excuses. Then the That's my QB issue LOL, along with the trying to kill himself with pills, that was hilarious! LOL. Also, The Jessica Simpson inicident. All of that in just 2 years with Dallas lol. He was an ******* in Philly- you can't sit here and say he was a nice guy, just from being a fan of the team he's on.

I totally agree. MrIggles, do you remember last year B.O. said the Eagles haven't done anything since he left? HUH? We did more then you guys did lol. We actually won a playoff game without T.O., then you have WITH B.O. Haven't done anything? The year after he left, we beat him & Dallas twice that year. We're 3-1 vs. Dallas since the B.O. Dallas era.  That's my quarterback! LOL.

T.O. did make a good point when he said he was shut down because he was doubled and trippled team
Wreckless 09-11-2008, 11:34 PM He makes excuses, the tard can never admit he did something wrong.
Big C 09-12-2008, 01:29 AM Hmm lets see How has he done against us since he left for little D??
Last year, T.O. goes into Philly, look dominate, and silenced Philly's venomous, loud and very hostile fans.
10 catches, 174 yards, and a T.D.
Cowboys 38, Eagles 17.
BTW, maybe if they hadn't gagged in the final minute against the Bears, just maybe they could have done some damage in the postseason.

We're 3-1 against Dallas in the B.O. era, you know nothing. Eagles silenced the Dallas crowd in Small D when we beat em later on in the season that year.
Btw, what did your team do? http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t250/KillaKastro_2007/6fhaxc6.jpg

Everyone knows that the 06 superbowl was totally rigged. I've never seen a ref make that many bad calls.

It wasn't like it came down to the last play lol. Seattle lost like 21-10 I think it was. It wasn't like it was 17-10, or 7-3 or a score that was closer. If it was rigged, it was for Bettis to win his only SB, coincidentally in the city he started in, Detroit.
