Yasbeck writing book about Ritter

Blue Ash, OH native and actress Amy Yasbeck plans to write a book about her late husband, John Ritter, for Simon & Schuster.

Ritter died five years ago Thursdsy on Sept. 11 from an undiagnosed thoracic aortic dissection - a tear in the aorta lining allowing blood to escape - after becoming ill taping "8 Simple Rules."

A month after he died, Yasbeck started the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health (www.johnritterfoundation.org). "Through the foundation, people are literally getting their lives saved," she told the Sept. 8-14 TV Guide.

She wants to keep John's memory going and that is good. She sounds like she needs therapy as she is clearly still wrapped up in his death. Yes, it is hard when they are gone and she loved him very much; a lot of people have. I hope she realizes that evertyhing is okay the way it is and moves on.

This is wonderful news! I cannot wait to read it! I met Amy at a memorial for Babylon 5/Days of our Lives actor, Richard Biggs back in 2004, and she was so incredibly nice! Someone took our picture and she told me that if it didn't come out to well to let her know and she would gladly pose for another one!

PS: Unfortunately, I didn't have a digital camera at the time, so I wasn't able to tell that the picture barely came out UNTIL I got the film developed! Oh well....

As long as she's not doing it only for the money, I'm happy with the project.
