Ok it's pouring out- doesn't have to be a nasty, horrible Monday where you can't seem to get yourself out of bed but it's nasty out and the weather conditions will remain this way all day long. What do you do, what are you doing? Maybe play a board game? Today I got up a little later, ate some cereal, watched tv and put on sweats and relaxed. What about everybody else getting these horrid rain storms today or any other day of the year?

I love those kinds of days, especially if I'm off. I will lie around all day long, maybe brew some tea and watch some TV on DVD while I scrapbook. :D I hate working days like that because rainy weather makes me very sleepy. :lol:

Yeah same, it makes me sleepy as well lol. It's a nice relaxing day, plus I love rain/the sound of rain so it's good. Almost therapudic :lol:

^ Yeah, especially when sleeping/trying to sleep lol. Also, the water when somebody else is taking a shower relaxes me, while I'm on that subject LOL..

I love the sound of rain...takes my thoughts right to Meditation and Yoga...Cause most of my relaxation cds involve rain of some sort.

I like the rain, too (after all this is Seattle!). I like to stay inside and watch DVDs and so forth. Just as long as the sun comes out once in a while!

i looooove rainy days. the best ones are always on weekends, when i don't have to go to school. usually i'll just stay home in my pjs, drinking tea, watching tv, reading, and doing some type of a craft. i've always loved rainy days, since i was little. i remember i would play board games with my family, make stamps out of potatoes, and watch as much tv as my mom would let me. lol.

I love rainy days as well especially since here in L.A. we don't get them often. The smell of wet sand and dirt is the greatest.

And unlike most people who like to stay indoors while it rains, I actually like to go out.

It really is, I love the sound of rain when it's really quiet. Thunder, too, if it's not the really loud kind.

Rain is nice if you're ready for it. I have rainboots so that's part of the battle.

The only thing- I hate driving in rain. Listening to the rain and being inside is so much better, at least for me.

I agree. Rainy days are a rarity here in L.A. I love how beautiful the beach looks and smells when it's raining. It's one of the few times you can take in a deep breath and not choke.

I don't like being caught in the rain, but I love rain, torrential rain, summer rain after a scorching day to cool things down. I love the song, Rainy Days and Mondays, by the Carpenters. Karen Carenter holds that last note like an opera singer. I loved Karen Carpenter, and her death always saddened me. She was on the mend too. My father loved her voice, said she sang like an angel. I love the song, Summer Rain, by Johnny Rivers. Why he wasn't more popular, I'll never know. Purple Rain and Prince, more good stuff. Where was I, okay, the rain, yes, I adore the rain.

I love that song too! That's how I came up with the name of the thread lol. Just a good tune to get you by on the rainy, boring days or bad days that never seem to end. I loved The Carpenters Christmas Albums, do you have any of those/have you listened to them in the past?
