I recently discovered both of these (which explains my  number of posts in such a short time!), but they are a little confusing.
It's easier for me to click on the "New Posts" when I just want to see what's new that's been added. However, I noticed that it doesn't pick up everything so I'm wondering if it's just searching for new posts since my last visit or what? I posted something on the Chit Chat music board and didn't realize that people had responded until I went to the actual board because it didn't show up when I did the "New Posts" search!

Also I'm wondering about the "search" feature. I noticed that if I type in "Seinfeld" I get results from any and all boards that have the name in it (title or post), and that was fine, because I found a ton of threads I didn't know had existed! So what I'm wondering is this... is it possible to do a search only for specific sections? I did a search on "Beach Boys" because I wanted to see if anyone in the "music" section was a fan of theirs (same with Madonna). Instead I got games, etc!

Am I using either (or both) of these features wrong?

:thanks:

Andrea

New posts is only since your last visit. If you visit often, today's active threads (for the last 24 hours) would be better to use.

You can restrict searches to individual boards. Click on Search - Advanced Search. Or you can go to an indiviual board and use the "Search this Forum" link. The link is kind of hidden in the second blue bar.
