Does anyone recall if there was an update to this case?

I seem to remember reading about this on Newsbank, but I don't have access anymore. If someone does have access, could they please check for me? I would appreciate it.

Traditional internet searching turned up zilch.

Interesting... The recommended sentence included mental health counseling if possible. She struck me as someone who had/has mental health issues. She was found with luggage tags in some fake name and she seemed to realize that she had kids at home. In the interview it seemed more like guilt for what she had done rather than just being gone.

Funny that two of the UM cases involved people who had been (or went on to become) criminals. Pierre April was the only legit one in my opinion.

Another amnesiac turned wanted fugitive was that guy who was wanted for embezzlement. I think his assumed name was "Pat" and he had memories of living in in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, or maybe it turned out he was from there. I can't recall.

The segment was profiled on CBS after NBC had cancelled the show. I always remembered that the first ever UM segment was about Don Kemp who went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to write his book about Lincoln's assassination. One of the last UM segments (on network TV anyway) was this Pat dude who also had some connection to Jackson Hole.

Good memory, justins5256! I totally forgot about that case. You can add it to the list as well.

All of these people could have had temporary amnesia, but it is so rare to have long-term amnesia that doesn't clear up, especially with no evidence of a TBI or stroke. And it is funny how many of these people had shady pasts, criminal charges, and/or mental illness associated with them. As one of the cops said in the Arthur Paul Beale update said, "Having amnesia is easy. You just keep answering 'I don't know' to everything."

The Jackson Hole connection is pretty funny, too. Props to you for remembering that! :)

This Sandra Evans/Linda Kennedy case was especially puzzling. She was from Canada & had kids there, but somehow ended up in TX for 6+ months. Strange.

Though the segment reunited her with her family, it was still never explained why she was so far from home & why she had luggage tags of someone else's name?!

Sandra Evans is fugitive - as there is stiil an oustanding arrest warrant for Parole Violation.

Federal records show she went to prison for all non-violent crimes committed in three states, including bank fraud, interstate transportation of stolen property, and false statement to a financial institution.

Here is her mug shot from 1999 before she disappeared during her parole. and she has been on the run for 26 years
