I know this question is a bit late, but what if BTY became a real big hit? If the show was going to spinoff a character, which character would have the best shot at a spinoff?

a LITTLE late???

I think the obvious answer would be Marsh - he could have easily carried the show with his one-liners. I wouldn't mind seeing him try to run a carpooling service to do a magic trick with an orange for an entire show-LOL

LOL

I was holding this topic for another time and then the other shoe dropped with the news of a cancellation.

Anyhoo, for me it would probably be Gary. Maybe he could find a job as a reporter in another town and focus more on his family life.

Yeah, I was thinking Gary too. They always mention his wife (weren't they having marital problems?), so they could easily do a show focusing on that. Maybe he could find a new job at a station where his coworkers could pronounce his name correctly-LOL. I'll always be laughing whenever someone mispronounced his name

Either Marsh or Montana or Gary.

Personally, I think any spin off would've flopped. I do think however, Fred and Ty have the potential to carry out their own shows with flying colors and would love to see either in their own sitcom!

I agree - both definitely deserve their own show.
