Are there any shows that you love and for some reason haven't bought on DVD yet? Either because it was too expensive or you just forgot about it or the show airs in syndication all the time so you didn't see any point in buying it, etc.

Everybody Loves Raymond is one of my favorite shows, but I have never bought any of the DVDs because the show is on 10 times a day and I've seen all the eps at least 5-6 times so I didn't see much point in buying the DVD sets. I plan on buying a season set of ELR real soon though.

The Odd Couple---for starters

The Shield. I would love to get that show but it is too expensive. Maybe now that the show is going off the air, the price will come down.

Star Trek (The Original Series)-I don't care how many extras are on the set or how much restoration went into-it's too freakin expensive. Same goes for The Twilight Zone (original series)-too expensive. I love both shows and plan to buy them on DVD someday when I can find them really cheap.

The Drew Carey Show- When I wanted to get it, it was airing on ION. Now that they are not airing it anymore, I can't seem to find it in stores.

Boy Meets World- I wanted it for a while but it was expensive. Now it is not in production anymore.

Seinfeld - If I buy this, I wanna save up and go all in for the complete series.

The King of Queens - I have yet to complete the series. I only have season 7 thus far.

Family Guy

I just got into Spin City and its easily become one of my favorites. When that begins releasing in November, I'll be picking it up;)

i was thinking about buying home inprovment. it comes on 20 times a day. so i just starting taping my favorite epsidoes. i also would like to buy sanford and son. i might buy the frist seasons. i also might buy gomer pyle one day or buy the odd couple.

I still want to get seasons 5 and 6 of Monk, and also Seasons 5-7 of Full House. Kind of pricey, so I'm waiting for... well, whenever. I'd also like to have Square Pegs-The Complete Series.

Star Trek DS9, same reason as above. Most of the trek series have dropped to a reasonable price, but there are a LOT of seasons of my favorites, and buying all of them becomes cost prohibitive.

Mad About You, just haven't gotten around to getting them. Too much stuff I haven't watched yet that I already have.

The New Adventures of Old Christine - I've been watching it for awhile on CBS, but never picked up the DVD's. Season 1 you can really find anywhere, but season 2 is only at Amazon I believe.

Happy Days - watched the show as a kid in the 70's and in reruns, but I never bought a season of it on DVD. I just don't have much interest in it anymore, though.

Perfect Strangers - I wasn't a huge fan of this show, but when it came out on DVD, I thought I'd buy it cheap and give it another try, but I never did. I think I'd be more enthused if Warner would release more seasons if it, but that isn't happening, so what's the point?

Now I am waiting to purchase shows I liked, like Odd Couple, Hawaii 5-0, Gomer Pyle etc... I will purchase these when they are released as a box set.

Flinstones box set is being released for around 89.00 or so --I will be picking that one up.

For those of you on the fence about The Odd Couple, which is quite a number of you, give it a shot! I was always kind of "eh" about the show when it aired on TV, but when the DVD came out, I thought I'd give it another chance. The first season has great extras but really isn't the strongest season of the show. Starting with season two (with the live audience), the whole dynamic of the show changed--- for the better. Tony and Jack were always more comfortable with a live audience, and you can tell that when you compare the first season with the other four seasons. Seasons two on are pure comic gold. For Gomer Pyle fans, only try it if you can stand 30 episodes a season of Gomer's annoying Southern drawl. I think it's a lot worse on this show than it was on TAGS. Since he wasn't in the spotlight on TAGS, he didn't really try too hard with the accent--- but in his own show, boy did he try too hard with that accent! It's still a good show, though, especially if you liked Andy Griffith. Same kind of humor.

Perfect Strangers--- opposite story of THE ODD COUPLE for me--- I liked it alot on TV, but on DVD, I'm not too thrilled with it.

Happy Days--- pretty cool show to own on DVD--- especially if you like nostalgia--- and before the 'Fonzie Show' began.

Frasier is hilarious. Season One was a pretty blind buy for me--- I never watched it on TV, but I loved Cheers.

I haven't bought 'All in the Family' or 'The Jeffersons' yet, I think I'll wait to see if Sony ever releases a complete series set.

I also haven't bought 'The Cosby Show', but I think I'll buy the complete series set coming out in November.

I really want Leave It to Beaver. I anxiously waiting another season of Perfect Strangers. How long does it take for one season to another?

I did not rush out and buy Charles in Charge season 2 when it came out way back in Nov last year.Or season 3 when it came out. The reason was that when season 1 came out I was excited as this was one of my favorite shows when I was a little kid. I remember buying it and rushing home to watch it. Well after watching 3 episodes I was bored. I thought the show was boring and I could not stand The Pembrokes. The kids was just to wierd. I could not stand the kid that was wearing masks all the time. Well anyways season 2 came out and I was afraid to buy it as I thought I would feel the same way.Well anyways just recently I was looking for something to watch and I decided to watch some more episodes of Charles in Charge.So I decided to watch the bonus episode on disc 3 Amityville and I was shock I thought the episode was alot of fun.And I said to myself now this is the show that I loved when I was a child. The Powells was way better then the boring Pembrokes.So after watching I went out and got season 2 and 3 of Charles in Charge. I thought Sarah,Jamie,and Adam was so mutch better then the Pembrokes kids. And I love the kids mom. The only thing I did not understand was why Buddy got so dumb?but hey I had no problem with that.I like watching dumb people on TV-Chrissy Snow,Kelly Bundy,and the hit movie about dumb people Dumb and Dumber. Buddy was the funniest on the show in my opinion. Well anyways I'm glad that I finaly bought season 2 and 3 of Charles in Charge and I cant wait to get the last 2 seasons on DVD.

Dave's World and Profit are two I rented from Netflix that I would like to buy, but since money is tight right now I doubt I'll be able to buy them until later or if I find them on discount at Wal-Mart.

Fox usually reduces the price to $20 a year after the release date. Universal does the same thing and I'm waiting for S3 and S4 of Sliders to get the treatment!

I felt the same way at first but never has this show looked any better, especially seasons 4-9 which were remastered in hd. The extras were always great and commentaries were always entertaining. A Great buy for any ELR fan!

I love the old Roger Moore british tv show "The Saint", but so far there has not been a comprehensive collection available in the US, and the UK collection is too expensive for me right now.

I know what you mean. There are many great shows I'm quite fond of, but space and other venues have kept me from buying them. I either have all, or many seasons/eps of the shows I REALLY LOVE like I Love Lucy, All In The Family, Betwitched and The Adv. Of Ozzie and Harriet. Other shows, in the tier directly below "the masterpieces" are Happy Days, Family Ties, Growing Pains, Leave It To Beaver-and of course there are more but these are just off the top of my head. Some, like LITB are on Antenna TV, which I receive, so I just burn eps to DVD and have them that way. I'm not buying any more seasons or eps of anything (well almost anymore!) except for eps of The Adv. Of Ozzie and Harriet I can't access through You Tube or Antenna TV. Truth be told, I have enough stuff to literally watch for the rest of my life - but when I've seen seasons of Happy Days for $10 I really do have to restrain myself and remember how nmany DVDs I have already.

So I guess what I do is keep reminding myself that these nostalgic shows really seem to becoming more accessible for free, or will really get marked down even more as blue rays take over more and DVDs get less valued. I will pretty much not buy anything else until I really go through what I have and purge stuff. And Lord knows when that's going to be!

I need the last two seasons of "The Lucy Show" and I haven't purchased any of the "Here's Lucy" seasons (so not like me!) because I'm hoping MPI will put them into one nice boxset, the way they did with "The Doris Day Show." I would also love to get both seasons of "Car 54."
