I was wondering, I saw an episode tonight where George's garage burned down and he borrowed money from his father, but he wasn't shown.

Yes, George actually went to see Manny Lopez in a later episode, who turned out to be a real jerk.

And then Manny appeared again and it ended with him and George making some amends...much to Benny's dismay. LOL.

I saw the episode with Lou Diamond Phillips as George's mooching brother. I wonder why their father, who was financially well off, didn't help out with George's upbringing. He could have at least sent a monthy check. What gives with that, I wonder.
