Not So Simple

Series 1,Story 8.

Jinny and Theodore are sitting on Theodore's sofa at his apartment. Theodore has his arm around Jinny and she's flipping through pages of a Bridal Magazine. "What about that one?" Theodore says pointing at a dress with the arm the is around Jinny. Jinny looks at it then laughs alittle,"You're joking right?" she asks light heartedly. Theodore shrugs, "I'm all new at this, Jinny." "Oh,and I suppose you think I'm used to going through Bridal Magazines?" she questions. "I think not." She says semi-sarcastically turning to another page. "No,That's not what I meant." Theodore reply's. Jinny looks up to Theodore," I know. I'm sorry. It's just this whole Wedding thing has really got me on edge lately." she says. "I know. It's not your fault,Jinny. " Theodore softens his voice. Jinny turns toward Theodore leaving the magazine in her lap. She puts her hand to his cheek,leans in,and kisses him. He kisses her back. The kiss between them gets more passionate as Jinny moves closer,sending the magazine falling to the ground.

**Station**
Captain walks out of her office just when Angela and C.D. are putting their coats on, "On your way to Greenburgs?" Captain asks as she closes the door to her office. "Yep,All night." Angela comments. "Wow,Well good night. And Have Fun." Captain says as she walks out the Division door. "Always." C.D. says sarcastically. "It's gonna be a long night." Angela says putting her coat on. "You got the cards?" C.D. asks with a laugh. Angela nods,"Yeah. You think we could stop and pick up some watermelon?" she asks. C.D. turns back to her,"Watermelon? At 10:00 at night?" she asks giving her partner a look. Angela nods and rubs her tummy, "Yeah doesn't that sound good?" she asks walking out of the Division with C.D. behind her, "If you say so." she reply's.

**Magda's House**
"Ben, It's time for bed." Magda says walking into the living room where Ben is sitting. "Come on Mom." Ben says looking from the Television to his Mom. Magda looks at him,"Ben. You know the rules." "Fiine." Ben says shutting off the Television and getting up. "Good Night Papi. Don't forget to brush your teeth,and I'll be in there to tuck you in. In a minute." Magda says as she walks back into the Kitchen to finish drying the Dishes.

~~Next Morning~~
**C.D. & Angela.**
"Gin" Angela says with a Grin. "What is this like the 100th time you've won?" C.D. says tossing her cards down on the table. Angela laughs,"Close". C.D. stands up and stretches. Then looks at her watch. "6:00 a.m. our shifts almost over." C.D. says. "About time." Angela reply's. "Yeah,You're tellin' me." C.D. says looking at Angela. "Nah actually it wasn't too bad." Angela says rubbing her small round belly. "Lose a couple games,Then say that." C.D. says with a laugh. "You okay?" C.D. asks looking down to Angela. "Yeah just fine." Angela grins. "The baby just kicked is all." "Oh okay." C.D. nods. "How much longer anyway?" she asks. Angela looks down at her tummy then to C.D. ,"Another 4 months." she says exhaling.

You better post more soon or I'm gonna have to do somethin' about it... (see, I wasn't that lazy today.. :P)

**Next Morning~ Theodore's Apartment**
Theodore's in the kitchen fixing coffee. Jinny walks from his room buttoning the last button on her shirt. She walks by the sofa and picks the bridal magazine from the floor. "You know I was thinking. I'm going to ask Magda to be my Maid of Honor." Jinny says loud enough for Theodore to hear her from the Kitchen. "How about you,who do you have in mind to be your Best Man?" Jinny says walking into the kitchen. "I uh was thinking my brother,Ross,would be." Theodore reply's looking at Jinny then pouring the coffee into the mugs. Theodore puts the coffee pot back and picks up a mug and hands it to Jinny. She steps forward and takes it,"Thanks." she smiles. "Welcome." Theodore says walking into the living room to the sofa and sits down. Jinny sits down beside him. "So when's it going to be?" Theodore says settling his arm around Jinny. Jinny shakes her head, "Not a clue." she reply's. "How does July 16th sound?" Theodore asks. Jinny laughs, "Fine Theodore. Does that date mean anything special to you. Or did you just come up with it off the top of your head?" Jinny says moving her hair out of her face and looking up at Theodore. "It will." Theodore says with a smile.

**Next Morning~Magda's House**
Ben is sitting on his bed fiddling with an action figure and Magda walks in. "Your homework all finished from last night?" she asks. "Yeah,Mom." he reply's. There's a knock at the door. "Can you answer that. Please." Magda says putting Ben's folders into his back pack. "Okay." Ben says running into the living room. He pushes his stepping stool to the door, climbs up on it and looks out the peep hole. "Jinny!" he says jumping off of it and moving it to the side of the door. Then opens the front door. "Hey Jinny." Ben waves at her when he opens up the door. "Hey Ben." she says with a smile. "You ready to go?" she asks as she walks in and closes the door behind her. "Yep." he says walking back to his room with Jinny behind him. Magda looks up from zipping Ben's backpack, "Hey Jin." she says. "Hey." Jinny says as she walks into Ben's room. "Okay lets get going. We don't want Ben late for school." Magda says picking up the backpack and walking out of the room.

You're a very talented writer aswell..My fan-fictions are slacking off on this message board though. People don't like my Happy Ever After Stories..I may have to find another message board to post my fan-fictions on.

**In the Car**
Jinny is driving down the road. She and Magda have there sun glasses on. "So uh Mag, I was thinking. How'd you like to be my Maid of Honor?" Jinny asks glancing quickly over to Magda then back to the road. Magda looks at her, "Maid of Honor,Jin?" she asks. "Yeah, I mean who better to be my Maid of Honor than my Partner." Jinny laughs. "Sure,Jinny. I'd love to." Magda reply's. Ben is sitting in the back quietly looking out the window. "And as for you,Ben." Jinny begins to say then stops at a Traffic light. "How'd you like to be my Ring Bearer?" Jinny says watching Ben in her Rearview mirror. "Hm It's uh um..a Young Man. Such as Yourself." Jinny says. "And well he holds the Rings for the people who are getting married. Which would be me and Teddy. Well then when we ask for them you just hand them to us. That's all." Jinny says finishing up. Ben looks from Jinny ,to the window, then back to Jinny. "Okay. " Ben nods. Jinny laughs alittle,"Thanks Ben."

**Case**
Jinny drives up to the baracades that has stopped the traffic on Bridge. An officer opens up the baracade and lets Jinny pass through. She parks and both Jinny and Magda get out of the car and one of the Officers on the scene walks over to them, "Hey Inspectors." "What do we got?" Jinny says walking to where the Action clearly is forming. "Jordan Dillian, 22. Is attempting suicide. By threatening to Jump off the Bridge. As passer-by saw him about 15 minutes ago up here and called us from her Car Phone." the officer fills her in as he follows. "Thanks. We'll take it from here." Magda reply's rushing over to where the Man is standing on the edge. "Don't come any Closer. I'll Jump. I will." he yells. "Jordan,Come on. Get off the ledge." Magda says. "I can't." the man reply's looking down at the water under the bridge. "Why not? You're so young. You have a long life ahead of you." Magda comments. Jinny standing to the left side a safe distance away from the man says, "You have to have something to live for." Jinny says in a soft voice. "NO I don't." the man yells back. "Just think Jordan. I'm sure you can find at least something you'd be leaving behind." Magda reply's. "Parents? Girlfriend? A Child perhaps?" Magda asks. "I have a baby. A girl. 3 months old." The man begins softening his voice. "See you do have something. More then alittle something. A life. That you helped create." Magda says. "Jordan, Look. Why don't you just back off of the edge and we can talk about this. You don't want your daughter to grow up without a father. Do you?" Jinny asks. "It's terrible for a child to grow up without their parents." Jinny adds in. The man shakes his head, "You know. You two are real good." he says. "What?" Magda asks confused. "Making it sound like you care!" the man reply's. "It almost sounds believable." he says. Magda shakes her head, "You know,Jordan. It may sound believable. Because we mean it." she says. "Yeah Right. No one cares about anything or one beside themselves." he says angryly. "Besides,It's your job to "care"" he adds. "Listen, It maybe our jobs to get you off this ledge alive,but we do NOT have to care. That comes along with our job. We're not forced to do so. We do because we want to." Jinny reply's back to the man.

I know some peeps here don't like the "happily-ever after" fanfics, but I do! If no one else'll read them, I will! So, please conitnue this one and keep writing! Also, I loooooooove your site, know when it'll be updated? Thanks!
