The outrageous sitcom Wings is back for Season Seven, with brothers Joe (Tim Daly) and Brian Hackett(Steven Weber) of Sandpiper Air, and their friends and co-workers of Tom Nevers Field. This season, Joe and Helen (Crystal Bernard) enjoy wedded bliss, but not for long, as Brian and Casey (Amy Yasbeck) burn down Helen’s house and the two couples have to live together. Plus, Roy (David Schramm) meets his son’s new boyfriend. Fay (Rebecca Schull) announces she’s getting hitched, and cab driver Antonio (Tony Shalhoub) looks for love in all the wrong places when he unknowingly dates a hooker! This 4-disc set includes all 26 Season Seven episodes on DVD for the first time ever. The little airport with the big laughs, Wings is back!

When I taped both "B.S. I Love You" and "Lynch Party" off of USA, they both opened with clips from the episode. I actually found them to be annoying. I wanted to get into the episode, not watch a "Coming up next on 'Wings'". But I'll bet that's why the episode time is shorter. This was what they did with "Joe Blows, Part 1" on the fifth season DVD. I didn't notice any other edits than the "Next time on Wings". So hopefully that's all that's about. As for the other two episodes that have shorter time, I never taped them from USA. So maybe (I hope and pray) that that's the same situation.
Except for the not-so-great video quality, so far we haven't gotten any edits that I've noticed. So I commend Paramount for that. I just wish we'd have some bonus features. Maybe they'll release a complete series set later with bonus features.

Yeah, I don't think those episodes are edited either. While I don't have any actual proof, I taped all the Wings episodes on N@N about 5 years ago and I remembered most of the episodes were exactly 21 minutes, 52 seconds long, except for a few from the last 2 seasons. Luckily, I still have all the season 7 episodes on tape so I decided to check it out for myself and EVERY episode, except for the 4 which have a shorter running time, ran exactly 21 minutes and 52 seconds. B.S. I love You and Lynch Party were about 21 minutes 22 seconds long each and Life Could Be a Dream and The Lyin' King were 21 minutes, 32 seconds so I believe those eps were just shorter than normal when they originally aired.

It seems like not so long ago that us fans were complaining about all the shows that were being released and still no Wings. Now, we're about 7/8ths through the series!
