Who else thinks these are annoying or scary?
For me, they are annoying when they come on right when I am interested in a program. They are scary when they come on like 2 or 3 in the morning or when I am in a dark room by myself.

It is annoying, but not scary to me.

They scared me when I was younger. I don't like the ones that are on the radio, either.

Yeah, they are extremely annoying especially when they come on the wrong time - right in the middle of an important scene. :(

I agree! If they played it during commercials, I wouldn't mind it as much.. but it seems like they never do!

For me, they're annoying. I hate it when they have it during TV shows and/or commercials. But not scary for me. The radio was the same thing for me too as like the TV was.

They are a huge annoyance to me - I'm right in the middle of a show I've been waiting to watch all day long, then I miss 3 or 4 minutes of a great part.

I can understand why they'd be scary, though - I remember one time a few years ago when a "Missing child" report came on at like 2:15 in the morning. It freaked me out at first, especially with that screeching sound when it first comes on.

Some of those old test patterns are scary looking, too.

Back in the day, they were much scarier-looking than they are today. I can understand any 8 year old kid being freaked out if it came on while they were watching TV.

The only thing that might possibly be scarier is the old Viacom "V of Doom" production tag. I thought it would come right out of the TV and get me.

I think I've only been in a situation once where they had a real alarm on TV (and it wasn't a test!) That was kind of scary, but otherwise, they are just annoying!

God, that was so freaky!-LOL. Any small child would run for their life if that came on TV nowadays

I don't blame you one bit  It's been years since I've seen it, but I'd probably go hide under my covers, too :D
