That's because it became a show about Laura, Steve and Stefan love triangle.

The show got a bit crazy towards the end with all these new characters coming and it seemed like the writers were forced to come up with such crazy things like Urkel making all those inventions and especially strange was the episode where Urkel gets kidnapped in France I think it was? It progressively got stranger and stranger as Urkel became more important and the other characters were phased out.

It'd be better if they kept Waldo. And some other characters.

Yeah, but Waldo was an addition to the show too. I always liked his character, but in small doses - you can only take so much stupid for one day-LOL

By 1997, or the last season, every character in the show was gone except for Carl, Steve, and Laura. JoMarie left, and Harriet was pretty much phased out in the middle of the season, even 3J was only in a few episodes that season, Waldo, Mother Winslow, and Richie were gone for good (Except for the Christmas episode I believe, where everyone makes a return), Eddie wasn't seen as much in that final season, and Stefan was phased out after Steve and Laura hooked up. It was a whole different show in season 9.

I would take NICK over Waldo and Richie any day of the week-lol

Then they had to put that annoying neighbor in who use to be Harriette's(boss) oh that is right Nick, the one who most don't like.

Seemed like Laura had a new boyfriend everytime you turned around.

But didn't Waldo disappear already in 1996?
