This is my last post before I head out to Toronto tomorrow.

Hopefully, I'll find some internet access and be able to still post on here.

Anyway,

I posted something similar to this on this board in February and got only 1 response- this time, I hope I'll have better luck.

Who do you consider to be underrated/overshadowed TV hotties- those that deserved far more attention.

My choice: Angela Watson.

Candice Cameron, Danielle Fishel and Christine Lakin (who also were on ABC) got far more recgonition than the grossly underappreciated Angie.

I have always thought Brian Krause of Charmed was good-looking but you never really hear anything about him!
Scott Weinger of "Full House" never got much exposure either-and he was the voice of Aladdin in the Disney cartoon!

PS: Have fun in Toronto! I would love to go there someday!

What about Marilu Henner A.K.A. Elaine Nardo from Taxi. She was hot back then.

Jan Smithers from WKRP in Cincinnati. She played Bailey Quarters. She was a GODDESS. For some reason, most idiots went for Loni Anderson instead.

Actually, I think Christine Lakin was more overlooked than Angela Watson. She was always a lovely young woman, stuck in a 'tomboy' role.

I never thought either Candace Cameron or Christine Lakin were hot. They were just average-looking plain Janes to me. Angela Watson, however, was a real hottie.

Candice Cameron was always overshadowed by her very popular brother, Kirk Cameron. He got most of the attention and all she got was zilch when he was the star of Growing Pains, even guest starring on Full House. Though Candice guest starred twice on Growing Pains itself, it was his show, not hers. You could tell how much Candice hated the exposure Kirk had and she seemed unimportant at least. Such a shame. It must have tough being the neglected one in the show business.

Way back in the 1970s, I had some crushes on some obscure TV stars. Does
anyone remember any of these?

Barbara Sharma (Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In)
Judy Strangis (Room 222)
Lisa Todd (Hee Haw)

Going back further to the 1960s:
Susan Silo (Harry's Girls)

And even further to the 1950s:
Marti Barris ("Peppi Mint" on The Howdy Doody Show)

I always thought Michael Richards was sexy. I have no idea why I just do.

Yeah, I can see that a bit. He just has that offbeat, goofball persona - and in some guys it can be very appealing.

I think you hit the nail on the head, Monika. If you can make me laugh my ass off, I don't care what you look like. It could be just that as the reason why I started laughing in the first place. Oh, that's not nice.

^ A sense of humor is very important...and if that person can make you laugh, it's a very good thing.

I can actually think of several right off the top of my head.

Jane Seymour, she was superb in Dr. Quinn, and after Dr. Quinn ended, she only got minimal attention. She is a beautiful person inside and out, extremely talented and deserves more attention then she has gotten since Dr. Quinn ended. She just had a new movie recently called Dear Prudence and she has proven that she can do comedy. They are considering turning Dear Prudence into a series. It would be great to see Jane is a series again and with Joe as one of her love interests. Hmmm? :)

Joe Lando was wonderful on Dr. Quinn and while doing Dr. Quinn he was in soap opera. You saw his gorgeous face everywhere. Now, you don't hardly see him at all. He deserves just as much attention as Jane. He is a great actor and still very good looking. I am hoping to see Joe in Jane's new series Dear Prudence. He and Jane are still smoking together and the best of friends. Maybe that would bring some of his popularity back. There was nothing better, in my opinion than Jane and Joe as Michaela and Sully. ;)

Barbara Eden. Okay, so she's in her 70's, who cares? She is still a great actress and a wonderful person. She still looks good for her age. Her last gig was on Army Wives and since then, we haven't heard anything about her. She's still got what it takes. She proved that on Army Wives. She even did a good job on George Lopez. She was Jeannie for gosh sakes! Give her the attention she deserves.

Larry Hagman has still got what it takes. I loved him on I Dream of Jeannie and everyone loved to hate him on Dallas. He needs a new gig and maybe Barbara Eden can be on it with him. I loved them on I Dream of Jeannie together. Life doesn't end at 40. :)

Okay, I am only 29 years old but I am a bigger fan of the older shows and older actors and actresses. I don't know why. Maybe because I am sick and tired of seeing these teenyboppers with no talent overshadowing our seasoned talented veterans? They have more talent in their little finger than all of them combined. They didn't have to take off their clothes or shave their heads, or get arrested to get attention. They got attention by their talent alone. Enough said. :D

^ I'm the same age you are and totally agree. The guys we're talking about weren't cookie cutter "hunks". They may not have been what most people would call "handsome" today, but who cares what "they" think, anyway? :D

James Lafferty (One Tree Hill)
He was cute when it started, but he was 18 then.. he's 23 now. He gets hotter and more muscular as the seasons progress. Way underrated in terms of a TV hottie. More Irish and Hispanic people need to breed if this is what the result looks like

^lol, I agree, and from what's known, he's always nice to fans, is someone who is very personable overall and is pretty modest about his looks. I like him more than his OTH co-star Chad Michael Murray.

And how about the late Michelle Thomas? She's mostly known as Theo's girlfriend Justine on "The Cosby show" and Steve's girlfriend Myra on "Family Matters". I think she also one was on "The young and the restless" or another soap. Well, she was really pretty. Unfortuneately, she had to die of stomach cancer, when she was only twentynine years old. :(
