View Full Version : Brian I heard Osi Unmenyiora is out for the season but I heard on NFL network that
TVFactFan 08-24-2008, 07:09 PM Michael Strahan may be willing to come out of retrirement if the Giants throw the right money at him.
His statement was-"I haven't been contacting by anyone yet so it's premature to say I would come back and I'm enjoying my retired life"
Sounds like the door is OPEN for comeback

I doubt he would come back a la Brett Favre, considering how he went out on top, but money definitely talks. lol

But it would only be for one year, so I think it's possible

Anything is possible, I just don't think it is a reality.

Well Strahan would have said NO if it wasn't a reality-lol
GARFIELDKOOL 08-24-2008, 08:04 PM That's a big loss for the Giants and could be a huge gain for them. I hate preseason sometimes. The Redskins could have Jason Taylor out until at least opening day. He suffered a spained right leg in yesterday's embarrasing loss to the Panthers.

He might have been caught off guard. Who knows?

Yeah the negative side of preseason
Big C 08-24-2008, 08:20 PM As a football fan, Osi's injury is Exhibit A for why I think preseason games are ridiculous and should have only 1 or 2, not 4.
Remember when Michael Vick broke his leg in a 2003 preseason game?
Now Unmenyiora is done for the season.
I'm a Saints fan- this is exactly what I fear could happen to Drew, Reggie, or any of the key offensive players.

Didn't the Saints, Colston go down with an injury the other night?

I did hear that they might be cutting back the pre-season to maybe 2 games and expanding the regular season by two in the coming years. I hope that happens.
I think the Saints are going to surprise some people this year. Adding Shockey I think will really help.
Big C 08-24-2008, 08:26 PM Didn't the Saints, Colston go down with an injury the other night?
Yes, he did have some rib problems.
But the difference is that:
1. It's bruised, not broken.
2. He's not done for the year.
If this WAS a season-ending injury, I'd go nuts.

Wow, a Saints fan living in Buffalo! LOL

I agree, their offensive fire power is very impressive.

I think the Vikings will be.
Mr. Television 08-24-2008, 08:34 PM I think the Vikings will be.
If they had a QB they'd be scary. That's why GB was so scared of Favre going there. Imagine the Vikings winning the SB with Farve as their QB. The managment of GB would never live it down.

I think Tavaris Jackson will be a decent QB. He probably won't be great, but decent.

My family moved from Buffalo in 1994. I live in Wisconsin now.
