just saw the list of cities up for nomination to host the 2016 games; they are
- chicago
- madrid
- rio de janeiro
- tokyo
i wouldn't mind who wins it, i just hope it's not madrid, considering what happened with the basketball team and their racist attitudes; they don't deserve to host the games

I wouldn't mind seeing Tokyo get it...Chicago is an interesting choice as well.

i might be wrong on this, but the last US city to host the olympics was atlanta, back in 96 i think

The Summer games, yes, it was Atlanta, but I think the winter Olympics had Salt Lake City, Utah in 2002. I could be wrong.

to be honest, i don't really pay attention to the winter olympics so i don't know either. the summer games is more my thing though

I *really* want to see the games in Chicago.
I think Chicago is the easy pick, especially because of the tv ratings. It would have been 20 years since the last Summmer Olympics held in the U.S.A. Spain had them in 1992. I think Rio would be the second pick. If not 2016, then 2020 for them.
