Does anyone know what year Steven and Elyse were born in? I don't think it was ever really stated. I'm guessing 1945 since they both started college in 1963 and when Andrew was born in 1985 Steven was supposed to have been 40. Does anyone know for sure? :)

I think it was 1945.

It's hard to say for certain because the ages of all the Keatons were not consist over the years. If I were to guess probably 1945. They married in 1964. Their 20th wedding anniversary was in 1984 (Annivesary Waltz episode)In an episode, Mrs. Wrong, Mallory points out that Steven and Elyse were 19 when they got married.

Mallory's age for example was inconsist:
In 1982 she was 15. In January 1985 when Andrew was born during the telethon Steven mentioned that Mallory was 16. There's no way she could only be 16 from 1983-1985.

Alex's age also was inconsist:
In the series finale, May 14, 1989, Alex mentions that he's 22. In an earlier episode in 1987, Andy's teacher mentions that Alex is 22. He couldn't have been 22 from 1987-1989.

Elyse's birthday is May 13, 1945 and Steven's birthday is September 8, 1944 :)
