A season one episode, but sorta prototypical of how this series generally went along with a formula of everyday situations exaggerated. Here, Ozzie and Harriet decide David is old enough to have his own front door key. Ozzie lectures about the responsiblity. Cue gag#1--Ozzie promptly loses his key. His solution--borrow Harriet's key and have a copy made at the local locksmith. Gag#2--Locksmith lost his key to the shop and is waiting for wife. Meanwhile, Harriet arrives back home and sees her key is missing. She assumes that she misplaced it and--gag #3 borrows David's key to have a copy made. Same situation repeated when David thinks now he has lost his key. Nothing overly hysterical, but a nice mildly amusing episode with Hal Smith guesting (he appeared several times on O&H in various roles).
End credits feature the jazzy end theme music--which is a dead giveaway that this is a syndicated episode from the initial Oswald Enterprises package, which has its logo on the end.
