Character actor Julius Carry died Aug. 19 in Los Angeles of pancreatic cancer. He was 56.
He had recurring roles on TV shows including "Two Guys And Girl," "Boy Meets World," "Grown Ups," "The District," "Cosby," "Murphy Brown," "It's A Living" and "Duet."

Carry appeared in more than 100 guest roles including "Hill Street Blues," "Jag," "Spin City" and "Moesha."

He also appeared as the villain Sho'nuff in the cult pic "The Last Dragon." Other feature credits included "The New Guy," "Moving," "World Gone Wild," "The Man With The Red Shoe" and "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh."

Born in Chicago, his first screen credit was in "Disco Godfather."

Carry is survived by his wife Naomi.

I remember him better as Lord Bowler from The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. This SUCKS. 56?!?! WTF? What's the deal with all the African-American icons dying this month? Dammit. Stop it.

Very sorry to hear that. He was terrific as Lord Bowler on what I think was
one of the most underrated westerns (in my opinion, one of the most underrated series period): The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

To me, Julius Carry will always be Angela's father that gave Shawn a hard time on "Boy Meets World."

I completely forgot that he was on 2 Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. :eek: He was only on there during the short first season as Bill the guy who owned the Pizza Place. Loved him on Brisco County and I enjoyed his appearances on BMW. His scenes with Eric were hilarious! :lol:

To me too! One of Rider's best episode is the second to last, 'Angela's Ashes' when she has to decide between going to Europe for a year with her father or stay with Shawn! Sad but great performance.
