'Girls Next Door' Go Scuba Diving for Season 5
Now that the backstage drama on The Girls Next Door has been extinguished by Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson, who both addressed the controversy in this previous article, we can now focus our attention to upcoming season of Hugh Hefner's reality series.
Season 5 of The Girls Next Door is expected to kick off this October, which means that production is currently underway. The new season will reportedly feature trips to New York, Mardi Gras at New Orleans and snowboarding with Barbi Benton in Aspen, the search for the 55th anniversary Playmate, and Bridget Marquardt's adventures in making a horror movie. On top of that, fans can expect Hugh Hefner's girlfriends to engage in some under the water activities.

According to Hefner's number 1 girlfriend, Holly Madison, they are presently in the “process of getting scuba certified.”
“It has been hella fun. Our first day we spent taking tests and finishing our modules in our pool. I was so amazed to see our pool underwater through the goggles. It's so cool, all the rocks and tunnels and stuff,” Madison revealed on her My Space blog.
Seeing that it's such a fun experience, spending time under water spawned other ideas Madison, who is also working as a Playboy photo editor.
“It inspired me to [do] an underwater photo shoot. I did a nude shoot swimming underwater, diving through the grotto tunnel and at the bottom of the pool having a tea party and wrapped up in chains. Probably way too edgy for Playboy ever to publish, but it was covered by the Girls Next Door, so hopefully you all will get to see it in Season 5,” she said.
Airing on E!, The Girls Next Door is a reality series that follows the lives of Hefner's three girlfriends. While the series centers on events at the Playboy Mansion, it also sheds light other Playboy related events such as the Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl, Playmate test shoots at Playboy Studio West, and Operation Playmate, just to name a few.
