I was there! i just got home from the game. I got to met everyone. I was surprised that I able to get one of the last posters. I figured I would arrive at the Peck Pavilion too late. I got it signed by everyone. My only disappointment was I was unable to get a picture of myself with Henry. The autograph line went very fast, trying to fit everyone in. THe most I was able to do was say thank you to each person. I think they appreciated that. I said there first names and made sure to make eye contact. Some people seemed to just want a signature! Later during the parade I gave Henry the thumbs up and he smiled right at me. I was so starstruck I forgot to take a picture.... Thats OK though. There are so many pictures online to add to my own. I also went to the Brewers game. Too bad they lost!!! But the pre-game ceremonies with the cast were great.

Oh Marion and Erin both look INCREDIBLE. Two boyhood crushes rekindled... ;) :D

Thanks for the pictures iris*happydays and Avilos! Somehow in my mind I pictured the statue different but it looks great. I never saw anything on the news or ET about the event. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing the picture of the statue. I only have one "complaint" about it. It looks so much like Henry Winkler (um, I mean "The Fonz") but I think they should have left it dull, instead of making it so shiny. It looks like he's glowing!

Such a cool video, Zoneboy! Thank you! Dare I say that Anson Williams is still handsome? That was funny, seeing Cindy Williams tour a brewery! I can't believe she never got to do that before! They should have let her put a glove on one of those bottles and wave to it! Hmm... wasn't that scene done in a brewery as well? Weird...

I agree that its too shiny. The sculptor says his intent was for it to be like the hood ornaments and shiny chrome on cars in the 50s. Apparently it was even more shiny but when they tested it out in the sunlight they dulled it down to its current state!!! The problem is though that its hard to make out the details on the face. Shadows help define details and shapes. As dark as the jacket is his hair should be dark to. As it is it blends in with his face.

Not to criticize the sculptor. He did a fantastic job on the likeness but the shininess obscures it a bit. I wonder if they will further modify it. There are so many people to please. Maybe once they get a feel of reactions and seeing what it looks like under different levels of sunlight they will adjust the shine. I know they can do that. They have a system setup to take care of the statue due to weather damage.

Glad you enjoyed the video and the statue is too shiny, When I saw it, My first thought was that it looked like C3PO from Star Wars in a leather jacket but it's nice nonetheless and Fonzie is deserving of the honor. :)

I knew it looked familiar! Well, if they ever do a StarWars meets Happy Days show, that statue would come in handy!:joke: :joke: :joke:

I'm sorry! That was terrible of me!:o
