View Full Version : Brian does it bother you that your Team gets no respect after winning the SB?
TVFactFan 08-18-2008, 06:27 PM I keep hearing everybody say they ain't sh*t and they were not supposed to win??? The giants went on the road for 3 straight games, Tampa Bay, Dallas, and Green Bay and then beat the undefeated Pats. After all that there are still people calling the Giants a crappy team. A crappy team is the Texans, not a team who wins the SB.
DAmm, give credit when credit is due. I was the first guy to call Eli GOMER PYLE but after he had that performance in the SB I have to respect that man now.
Mr. Television 08-18-2008, 06:33 PM The Giants deserved to win the SB. They beat 3 real good teams on the road to win it. You can't do that and be a crappy team. As far as respect, I'd rather have a SB ring then be projected to get there. All that matters is what you do not what you might do.
Brian Damage 08-18-2008, 07:22 PM I like what Sonny said, who cares what people say? The Giants have got a Super Bowl ring and are the defending champions until someone knocks them off. I know Mike (mriggles) talks a lot of smack to me about the Giants at work. It is all gravy, because the Giants are the CHAMPS! LOL

A friend of mine believes the giants won't be sh*t this year-lol I told her she needs to seperate her HATE and CONGATULATE-LOL
Mr. Television 08-18-2008, 09:16 PM Well the Giants look pretty good tonight. They're destroying Cleveland. lol

Exactly! The Giants will be in the mix this year. They lost a lot of talent during the offseason, but they still have a very good team.

Yeah But I also have given your team the respect they deserve.... What they did should make you very very proud

I think the giants will be a force this year, its a tough division, but that defense is the reason they won the superbowl & minus strahan its the same team, plus they added an absolute stud in kenny phillips. That boy can play football & he plays it like he is on a mission

I agree, only the haters are saying the Giants won't be the same team, like my female friend who is a eagles fan and had to call out sick after they won the SB-lol she is not a true eagles fan like you since she only has been rooting for the Eagles since 2000
FRONTRUNNER?
Dusty's Fan 08-23-2008, 11:17 AM I would not be totally surprised to see another Giants-Patriots Super Bowl. I think that at the least, the Giants have enough good material to make it back to the NFC Championship game. I'm not a fan of either -- just trying to look at them objectively.

Pats may have problems this year due to their Defense

I wouldn't count out the Patriots, that is a team that always drafts well.

I no longer look at Bill Belechick as a Defensive Genuis, because A.J. Feeley was abl to pass all over the Pats Defense on National TV
My friend lost respect for Bill because she said He let a Goofball like Eli Manning pass on the Pats defense on thatFinal drive
LOL
Brian Damage 08-24-2008, 01:07 PM Well, the Giants suffered a major blow last night with Osi Umenyora going down with a knee injury.

Was it serious?

The first chink in the armor of the Super Frauds.
Won't do me a favor and get the F*CK off the board.
Why the F*CK you laugh at a injury, stupid mutherf

Easy Solomon, easy, he/she is entitled to their opinion, even though they are soooooooooo wrong. ;)
Big C 08-24-2008, 08:11 PM Sorry if my comment may have been offensive.
In reality, I think this injury will affect the defense. I'm not happy he got hurt, but I think this could be a chink in the armor.
BTW, if anyone asks what team I'm a fan of, my team's the Saints.
Honestly, I still am not sold on the Giants having staying power as a consistent contender.
I still think they may be a one-hit wonder; the offense will have to step up big time, IMO.
P.S. I posted the wrong link. Sorry. I meant to post this link instead:

Welcome FSU, we could always use a Aints...er I mean Saints fan. ;) Seriously though, I hope you'll stick around for the season.

First of all,
I apologize for my previous post.
I meant to put up the Yahoo Sports link so I could answer a previous poster's question on how serious Osi's injury was.
That link was from some internet surfing I had previously done.
Again, I apologize.
If the 'Super Frauds' line offended anyone... to be honest, I don't know if the Giants will have staying power. I think they may be a one-hit wonder, but if they prove me wrong, good for them.
Please tell Solomon I sincerely apologize and did not mean that link as a joke. It was an honest mistake.

No worries FSU, things can get a bit heated as you can tell here on the sports board. However, for the most part, we are all cool with eachother. :)

Ok my mistake, I thought you were celebrating the injury of a player and that is something we never do here. Hope you are here every week supporting your Saints like the NFC East crew on the board
Big C 08-24-2008, 08:31 PM Until now,
I only knew Brian as SitcomsOnline's general (and biggest) fan of Patricia Heaton, kind of how I have such admiration for Angela Watson.
Never knew he was a Giants fan.
BTW, I too am sick and tired of this Farve-Jets story that's getting overexposed.
This isn't exactly Mark Messier going to the Rangers in 1991- THAT was bigger.

I am a big time giant hater, but I am also a realist, No one would like to see them fall flat on their face than me, but the reality, I think they will be in the playoff mix come december & into Jan. AS THE D GOES THE GIANTS GO
