It's only 8 seconds since it's a CBS promo of the show from 1981. It's on youtube and you would just basically put in 1981 Commercials in the search box and look for WCBS commercials

In the promo, Florence is on a date with he Guy who tried to tell her she can sing in the ep of the Jeffersons so he can get her money. In the promo She is seen pouring a large pitcher of water on him and that's the only clip of checking we Jeffersons fans are able to see for now. Let's not give up Hope.

Did you ask the guy who posted the promo, if he has episodes?

Somebody on here sent me a PM because they know how much I want the show and told me to go to youtube to see the promo. So I don't know the actual guy who put the commercials on youtube. I wasb trying to see if I could hear a Theme song during the promo but it wasn't one.

You should contact that guy on YouTube. Here is the link for everyone to see the 10-second promo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7BX6xqxGMs (starts from 0:30 second mark).

the theme song was quite snappy, from what I remember.

too bad no one has a 1981 TV openings on Youtube with Checking In in it.

The Show was actually found by a member of this board 3 years ago but we didn't have the greatest relationship so I was unable to get a copy of it. The person had received a bunch of tapes and didn't know what checking in was and said that she think it's on one of her tapes. I offered her $200 for that tape-lol Didn't get though

Well, I do know that Sony has the show--just too bad they can't put it out as an extra on a future Jeffersons release (perhaps the same season she was spun off).

Well that would be the next season we fans are waiting to be released, SEASON 7-lol

God, would i love to get my hands on these 4 episodes (but not before you, Solomon-LOL) - I know they're out there summer, and it bugs me how I know that Sony has complete rights to all 4 but won't do a thing for them. I would love to see a DVD release of "Checking In: The Complete Series" sometime in the future. I would easily pay a lot of money to own them.

I doubt Sony would ever put them as an extra on a Jeffersons set, because they could easily make a bundle of money by releasing them seperately.

If Sony released it on DVD I wouldn't pay more than $10.00 for it since the show would no longer have the appeal it has now since it would be easy for EVERYONE to get-lol

But they'd still be a treasure to own, no matter how common they become. I think I'd pay an easy $20 or $30 for all 4 episodes on DVD - I don't think I'd pay higher. If Sony really wanted to make some money, they'd be smart and release the show on DVD.

It kind of makes me wonder why no episodes are to be found. I'm sure some people must have copies of them, but they're just not interested in selling??

I can understand why someone wouldn't want to sell, because they would lose the rights to it-lol That ep would be circulated so fast that the show would not be a MUST SEE anymore, just a CURIOUS SEE-lol

Wouldn't Marla Gibbs herself be able to get some episodes if she really wanted to?

Anyone want to contact her?

That's real desperation! LOL!

I have an episode of "The Price is Right" with another promo for "Checking In". Too bad I don't have the ability to upload it onto YouTube.

Why is this show so rare to find these days? I know there were only 4 episodes, but you'd think there would be more copies floating around than there actually are. Sony owns the rights to it, so they must have every episode available to them.

I know, I have a CBS ep of Mary Tyler Moore from 1971 and nothing of Checking In from 1981-lol
