Just in case anyone missed it, Bulimia will finally air and Strokes gets a stunt on Sat., Aug. 23 and an all-day farewell marathon on Friday, Aug. 29 :(

Or better yet, maybe Sony can just release the rest of the series onto DVD so we can get unedited episodes without annoying corner logos. It just annoys me so much how Sony gave up on this show after Season 2. Obviously, the sales must have not been very good. BUT, you talk to almost any fan of this show and they'll tell you the middle seasons are the best (3rd-5th). Hell, I'd rather watch Season 7 & 8 over Seasons 1 & 2.

Although Sony is resuming the Partridge Family by releasing season 3...

I hope "Roommates" is part of the marathon. My DVR failed to record it both times it aired. And I got everything from seasons 3-8 otherwise (except for "Bulimia", of course). I'd hate to be missing one episode.

I just hope they at least show the majority of seasons 3-4. I want to record all my favorites before they take it off. Even though it sucks that this station is taking DS off, I am glad that they are doing a marathon on its last day. Most stations just take a show off without warning.

Well Pav I can now breath of sigh of releif, when I saw your post I thought BET cancelled the Bullima airing....as I write this post its 20 minutes away from air.....now as long as the power doesn't go out....lol.......thanks for the final air schedule!

Watching the episode now....what a classic!, serious drama from Coleman & Plato!...lol....first scene is another excuse from the writers to get Kimberly in a bathing suit, a practice they started in season 1!....I sometimes wonder about these writers/producers...like how they dressed the girls in season 1 in facts of life...I know I digress....anyway I noticed a slight crinkle in the tape in scene 2, perhaps this was part of the problem as to why it didn't originally air in rotation.

Last update: Kudos to BET for airing this one...a classic from top to bottom...during the last 5 minutes a severe jittering occured in the picture, again perhaps part of the technical issues that prohibited its first airing. but all in all a well done job....why did I find myself laughing so much during the episode...poor acting from sitcom actors perhaps, I'm a sensitive guy and understand the stuggles of people with eating disorders, but our beloved actors couldn't pull this off in "this very special episode of Diff'rent Strokes"...lol....

I did not even this thought until I turned on the tv this morning and checked the lineup. I stuck a DVD into the recorder. I will have the syndication and NAN version now.

Well, I caught "Bulimia", but too bad even with the marathon, I'll be missing "Memories". I missed it due to BET's scheduling the first time, and just totally forgot the 2nd time around. :(

I got everything else recorded in SP mode on DVD. Perhaps someone can hook me up ;)

Also, they skipped "The Model" and "The Athlete" in the last cycle (not permitting those of us who had DVD-R problems when they ran over the hour in the first cycle, to correct them)...I figured they skipped them because the still had the unedited version. Soo....beware....!!!!

Solomon, I believe that is how Sony gave them it. Sony gives them edited versions from syndication, but for some reason that one is unedited, which is a good thing. So set the timer until 5 minutes after it airs in case you miss the ending like I did last time.

yeah i finally saw it again. havent' seen that episode in over 20 years. good stuff.

I'm still trying to figure out why all the excitement to see this horrible ep.

Well, as was the case with the Bicycle Man 2-parter, the BET version of Bulimia had different edits than the version of this episode that aired on the TV Land marathon a few years ago. There were parts on the BET version that were not on the TV Land version (the very beginning, for example, where Pearl takes a feather duster over Maggie's book). But, the TV Land version I recorded a few years ago did not have a lot all the jittery stuff towards the end that this BET version had. I was really holding my breath, hoping the screen didn't suddenly go black or something!

Well, even though BET had some horrific edits for commercial breaks and some really annoying last minute schedule changes here & there, they did air every single episode of this show. The same cannot be said for Nick At Nite, who always skipped any episode that was the least bit "controversial." No Bicycle Man, no Bulimia, no Hitchhikers, etc. So, I do give BET kudos for showing them all! Now, if we could just have stubborn Sony release Seasons 3-8 onto DVD, all in one shot!
