It is a shame that Thea is leaving the lineup, I also thought that it was vastly underrated. I have DVRed many of the episodes.

I agree - I'll only watch Judge Judy once so often, but besides that, every other judge show sucks. Why would BET want to trade in good shows like Thea, Sanford, and Diff'rent Strokes for more court shows?

I was getting used to having Diff'rent Strokes on BET. And I never really liked Sanford anyway.

Sad to see Diff'rent Strokes go. :( I hope another network picks it up, though I doubt that'll happen anytime soon, seeing as TV Land has completely revamped their schedule...

I can see a farewell marathon for Sanford or Thea but not for Diffrent Strokes. Farewell Marathons should only be for short-lived shows that are no where to be found on DVD

Well we know it's not going to be a black show that we are used to seeing in syndication so it will have to be a short-lived show especially if it's from the 90's. We know it's not going to be COSBY or FAMILY MATTERS or FRESH PRINCE or STEVE HARVEY

Yeah you are right it won't be Living Single, but I do think I will find the show to be a great pickup because pav wanted me to guess. For Your Love has been on and off on TV One, so that won't be it. Not sure actually if you like the show Solomon. I'll give one final hint, yes it doesn't have enough episodes for "standard syndication," but it is more than a one or two year wonder.

Well, Solomon, we were both wrong-LOL. Smart Guy? What the hell kind of decision is this?-LOL. I was setting my hopes up for Cosby, and we get Smart Guy? I think I watched 1 episode of the show 10 years ago and turned off my television right away-LOL.

It's one of those shows that did very well in syndication, so it could work for BET. It did well on Disney Channel when they had shows like Boy Meets World, Sister, Sister and others.

I really don't think that many kids are watching BET like they are Disney Channel, though. I don't see the show lasting long at all.

I want to see what people are thinking. This is not the first time I did this. I have done this many times. At least the show is not overplayed or not airing elsewhere...but of course people will still complain.

That's a good point, but the show is still a kids/teen show at best, and will most likely only bring in younger (under 18) viewers. I have nothing against the show, but it just wasn't that good quality-wise when it first aired on the WB, and I think they could have made a better pickup.

I'm not complaining--at least it's not something we've seen over and over *cough FRESH PRINCE cough*, but Pav, you did say it was not a one or two season wonder--uhmmmm, Smart Guy was a two season wonder! :lol:

Yeah, 5pm is a good slot for any show really. I don't get why they didn't try DS there right away instead of 9am, yet they show a show like SG there immediately.

Haven't seen the show since it was on CBS. The Redd Foxx episodes were obviously the greatest - I didn't watch any of the Jackee episodes afterwards, which is pretty much when it was cancelled.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing any short-lived 90's series. Thea and Sanford were great to see again on BET.

We were wrong again Solomon-LOL. I was going to say South Central, too, but didn't think it would be it, since it had a VERY short run. I never watched the show, but remember hearing a lot of things about it.

Where I live was actually on my wabnt list last year and South Central was said to be very controversial so i'm interested in seeing both

I vaguely remember Where I Live, but from what I remember...it was good. I have some promos for it on my Perfect Strangers episodes.
