I think it was because of that BOYISH hairstyle she had when her hair was very very short and she seemed to be wearing a lot of makeup during those years. She was at her HOTTEST during the 1992-1994 era but I have know idea what happened.

just like in a 1995 ep last night, why did the laura character have a boyish hairstyle and timberland boots on???-lol

Well Tims were the style back then, but she looked real stupid when she was wearing those short wigs along with Harriette. I always thought that she was stupid for cutting her hair that short.

That hairstyle was very popular around that time frame for black women. I remember almost every chick at my high school was rocking that hairstyle Laura had at least at one point during that time.

Yeah, I hated Lauras hair short. I didnt even like it in season 6 when it was still short, but not that short. She deffinitly looked best in season 4 and 5.

Yes, the short hair doesn't look that great, but I don't think it's wrong with it. Her hair was at least a little longer the last season.

I guess I'm the only one here then who liked Laura's short hair. It made her look older. Very few women can actually wear long hair. It depends on the type of person you are but some people just look better and older with shorter hair, me included :D

That was the problem, the makeup and short hair made her look 10 years older

I wasn't a huge fan of the short hair, either. I still didn't think she looked ugly, but she did look her best around season 4. No wonder Steve decided to stay with Myra instead of Laura in season 5-LOL

I actually think Kelly Shagynee Williams looked good in short hair. The late Michelle Thomas (Myra) was much prettier in general, but she couldn't pull the short hair thing off as well as Kelly could. You can see Michelle in short hair one episode on "The Cosby show", where she played Theo's long-time girlfriend Justine Philips, and it didn't suit her one bit.

I think she looked better with longer hair, but even though she had short hair she didn't looked bad, just older.

Yeah, she definitely looked more mature with shorter hair, but she definitely wasn't ugly.

She had on construction type boots which was supposed to be the female version but they were still ugly in a ep 1 or 2 weeks ago. Can't remember the ep

A woman wearing construction boots is not attractive, don't care how popular it was.

Yes they were VERY popular, just about everyone was wearing them back then. For women they came in pink, light blue, khaki and black. They were cute actually.

Solomon just believes that women should wear nothing but High Heels 24/7

I was so when she started wearing a weave after the last season got a start. She looked better with the hair weave. There were even humorous references made about her wearing weave. LOL. I was like, "Thank You for putting some hair on your head!" LOL.

He settled for Myra but he was never attracted to Myra like that. He even said Laura's name while him and Myra was intimate. His heart always belonged to Laura.
