Just having some fun here...

I was wondering what you guys would rate as the most popular and discussed cases on SO. Popular as in your skin crawls whenever a NoOb comes in and starts a thread about it as if they are breaking new ground.

Thinking back over the years of posts I have read here I am going to nominate...

1. Angela Hammond aka "the one about the girl abducted from the phone booth".

2. The Wackers.

3. The Circleville Writer.

4. Chichester, lately but I think that is understandable considering it's all over the news.

Any others...

I would have to say the missing Baskin children who were kidnapped by their maternal grandparents is a popular case. Hey, a question for y'all. Remember the case of Carolyn smith, whose ex kidnapped their two boys and hid out for years? I had heard somewhere that the boys were reunited with their mother and it ended up not well because they hated her or something. CD, or anyone else, can you help?

We also discuss the Lisa Marie Kimmell and Tara Breckenridge a lot too.

Its been a while but I watched a show about missing children reunited with their parents - I think it may have been 48 Hours. They talked about Carolyn's case and had interview's with the boys who were teenagers at the time. It seemed they talked about what a rough transition it was and left the impression it wasn't that good of a reunion (of course the mother was thrilled but by the boys interviews they were having a tough time). I don't think they hold any ill will towards their father for taking them away from their mom for all those years which is surprising to me. Like I said its been a while since I've seen it so if someone else also watched it feel free to add more details.

I concur, but I will say that I think the Lisa Marie Kimmel threads are interesting though because her mom posts here and she has offered a lot of insight into the case.

I think Tara's thread is popular now because some folks who knew some of the participants in that one are now here and b****ing amongst each other.

I would say Tammy Leppert and Charlotte Pollis case.

I really think the only obvious answer is The Maples. I believe its still the case most people on here would want solved moreso than any of the others. There are cases more creepy or as far as the segments themselves go, better produced but I think most people here want to see Sandra and Marvin Maple caught above all other criminals profiled on the show.

Bobbi Parker and Crystal Spencer have been popular of late also.

Obviously, I'll agree with you on that one!
