-Gym Teacher: The Movie
Premieres Friday, September 12 at 8PM ET/PT on Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite
Encores: Saturday, September 13 @ 8pm et/pt and Sunday, September 14 @ 1pm et/pt.
Starring Nathan Kress (Nick's iCarly), Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), and Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy)
Dave Stewie was America's hope for the Gold in the 1988 Seoul Olympics until he ran face first into the vault. His failure made him a national joke, and he quickly faded into obscurity. Stewie rebuilt his life from the ashes of humiliation to become a gym teacher, but his Olympic competitiveness never left him. Let’s just say that NASA scientists take their job less seriously than Dave takes his job of molding the physical fitness of young people. So when the President announces a national gym class fitness competition, Dave knows that this is his opportunity to redeem himself by leading his class of athletes to triumph.
There's only one thing in the way, in the form of a new student named Roland. He is the manifestation of Dave's worst nightmare: he wears a helmet at all times, is completely averse to anything that could cause bodily injury, and he doesn't have an athletic bone in his body. To top it all off, his mom is the new teacher Dave has been dating. In order to win the competition that could avenge his Olympic defeats and crush his cross-town gym teacher rival, Dave must use every trick in his physical educator arsenal to turn this gangly thorn in his side into an athletic competitor. Together they form an unlikely bond and teach each other the meaning of being a winner.
