I'm surprised no one's replied to this. Is anyone going to go?

Sounds like fun, but I can't afford plane fare, hotel accomodations and the time off work!!

It does sound nice but, as the Professor said, "We just can't jump into anything; we have to examine all sides of the problem." I just found out about this today--Aug. 16--is there a way we could be informed months before. Also, anyone who has to attend school might have a problem with September, as opposed to the summer. Otherwise, it does sound nice and, for a charity event, they really are not asking that much money to attend and are giving many different options. Of course, yes, travel, hotel, etc. is the problem for many.

Well said - many TV conventions and things are announced up to a year in advance. May through August would be the ideal months for something like this.

Maybe it came together at the last minute.

Yes, it probably did--but it sounds good. Please, we need a reporter. If anyone is going, get us the scoop on the event--stuff we'd be interested in--the GI events, games, activities, costumes--pictures??? I'm sure if we hear some details about it some of us might think about attending next year. Summer might be best for--well at least students and teachers!

I know I can't go, but I would if I could.

And in an odd coincidence, the tickets went on sale on my nephew's birthday and the event takes place on mine.
