So I got to wondering -- are there any "sites" in LA that were used in the filming of O&H that one could visit?

A few years back, I remember going up to The House and peeking through the bushes at the famous portico and front door -- but I hear the family home has been torn down?

I suppose most of the street scenes in front of the "Campus Malt Shop" were on backlots, but how about some of the other larger exteriors, like "The Emporium" seen across that busy thoroughfare, or the golf course that Oz and Dave frequented, or even some of those neighborhoods that they'd cruise through in their big Chrysler. And then there were those curvy mountain roads up to the picnic grounds and lakes.

One other place that comes to mind -- that swanky restaurant, "The Campus Inn" that Dave and Wally visit on opening night -- was that just on a soundstage or would that be an actual restaurant?

Thanks!

You know, this is a really good question that unfortunately never got addressed here on the forum. Would love to know myself.

I do know however that the original house does still stand, and have seen recent photos of it posted here on the message boards. It was actually their beach home that was demolished after the home was sold following Harriet's death.

I guess they weren't O&H fans. :)

Yes, and I think I saw some pictures of their original home. It had been completely remodeled, (outside), and didn't look anything like it used to.
