If you had to put yourself into a sitcom or any TV show and live the life they portray, who would you want to be?

If you want to be rich and powerful, you could be JR Ewing, but you might get shot!

Al Bundy would be a horrible character to live his life.....nagging wife, etc. !

You could be Charles Ingalls, but you would have to work a lot!

Andy Taylor wouldn't be bad. You would be a sheriff in a quiet town, but you would have to put up with Barney as your best friend!

How about Darrin Stephens? He had a heck of good life living with a witch who could give him anything! I think I would let her practice all the witchcraft that she wanted to practice!

Of all the shows though, I would want to be the character that most resembles myself.................Larry Dallas from Three's Company! If I was younger, I would say Zack Morris or Slater from Saved by the Bell! When I'm older, I would say I would want to Larry Tate from Bewitched!

But, Larry Dallas is the one I would most want to be!

I wish that I was like Kate Bradley on "Petticoat Junction". She was so caring about her family and her friends in Hooterville. She also cared about her guests that stayed at Shady Rest Hotel.

Put the character you would not want to be also! I would hate to be Mr.Oleson on Little House on the Prairie. How did he put up with his wife?

I think I'd like to be Jed Clampett, easy going with a family to oversee and I'd love to hang out with Granny. Living in a mansion in Beverly Hills would be cool. One character I wouldn't want to be is Newman or George from Seinfeld.

Dan Humphrey of Gossip Girl because he used to be called Lonely Boy but then he starts dating Serena and now he's part of "the in crowd"

I'd be Elaine Benes. She's attractive, smart, and she's a great faker!!!

There are many!

I would have liked to have been Pinky Tuscadero. Elaine Bennes of course. I think the Yes Dear character, the one from Mr Holland's Opus was glamorous.

I think Lucy from I Love Lucy had a fun life. So did Shirley, from Laverne and Shirley.

Carrie from King of Queens, and Caroline from Caroline in the City.

And that's just for starters !

Ha ha, I was going to say Elaine as well! She has a cool job in publishing, she has a cute ex-boyfriend and two other crazy friends (and Puddy wasn't bad-looking either!)

I'd want to be Cosmo Kramer. Not only because I'm a Seinfeld fan, but because my sister thinks that's exactly how I live my life now...as Kramer did on the show. Actually, now that I think of it, "TV Jerry" wouldn't be too bad either :)

No offense, but I think Julia Louis-Dreyfus would think that we are both nuts for saying we want to be Elaine Benes. Here's a quote from her that I found in this awesome book called Sein Off The Final Days of Seinfeld....

"I've heard lots of women say "I'm Elaine". I think they said it with a mix of frustration and humor. Geez, I hope they did. Elaine was someone who single women laughed at because they embodied lots of problems. In fact, she was a jerk. I don't think she was a role model. I hope not. Anyone who choses Elaine as a role model should be in therapy...."

Hmm... but she did date Jerry Seinfeld....

I'd love to be Samantha Stephens (Bewitched). Yes, I know you're all shocked. :faint:  She was gorgeous, married to a sweet man who was head over heels in love with her (at least when he was played by Dick York), could get the housework done in seconds with just a twitch of the nose, and had probably the most fun-loving, caustic mother in the annals of television. What's not to love? :D

I think it would be cool to be Samantha Stephens as well. She had the coolest powers. Oh how nice it would be to be able to do that!

I always wish I was her when I have huge stacks of papers on my desk that need to be sorted and scanned!! Or maybe Endora could just make all the papers disappear into a big puff of smoke. Not to mention that Samantha had a KILLER wardrobe!!! :D
