Will they please leave him alone? For Christ sake, he just got out of the hospital again.
Anytime anyone that has money, they are a target. Kelsey has worked very hard for what he has. Nothing has been given to him. He didn't catch a break until Cheers. He's a typical American that went from nothing, to being successful, and what's wrong with that? Isn't that the American way? People can be so jealous of someones success. Anyone can be anything they want in this country. The only person that is holding them back are themselves.
Kelsey wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth. If anyone has ever read his book, "So Far" you'll understand what I'm saying. He has encountered many personal hardships in his life to last several lifetimes. I've had my own share of hardships, but not even a tenth of what he went through and I would still NOT wish it on my worst enemy. There were days I didn't even want to get out of bed, I drank a lot. But I've turned my life around. When I found out what Kelsey went through and how he survived, it made me take a long look at my life and realize that other people have been through worst than me and pulled through. Kelsey is my hero.
I've noticed in the past 15 years or so that people are "sue happy". People sue other people that have money because they think they deserve it too whether they earned it or not. My parents were children during the depression so nothing was given to them. They were taught to work for what they wanted. So they instilled that attitude into me. I grew up on a dairy farm in upstate NY. We lived ok. Not rich, but we always had food on the table.
I've often read that Kelsey is a pompous jerk. Maybe he is and maybe he isn't. Maybe he's like that because of how people have treated since his fame and wealth. He has had so such taken from him in his life, but he is still able to give so much of himself to others. I know Kelsey isn't a saint by any means. Not too many people are. Walk a mile in his shoes and maybe you'll understand what he's been through. He had to deal with drinking and drugs, but he's cleaned up. And I have a lot of respect for that. He's straighten out his life thanks to his wife.
This is the thanks Kelsey gets for supporting Bush in 2004.
It's not like "Swing Vote" is going to break box office numbers.
Sorry I know I rambled off some, but this really set me off. I'm a very passionate person that only believes what is in my heart.
