JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The sauce for a spicy Italian sandwich was apparently a must have for one Florida man. The man, Reginald Peterson, called 911 twice after a sandwich shop left off the sauce.

Peterson initially called the emergency number Thursday so that officers could have his subs made correctly, according to a police report. The second call was to complain that police officers weren't arriving fast enough.

Subway workers told police that Peterson, 42, became belligerent and yelled when they were fixing his order. They locked him out of the store when he left to call police.

When officers arrived, they tried to calm Peterson and explain the proper use of 911. Those efforts failed, and he was arrested on a charge of making false 911 calls.

Peterson did not have a listed phone number.

Don't insult police officers. They have to respond to each and every call
they get. You should show them some respect.
i think you misunderstood me lee, i was talking about the guy wasting the cops time when he could have been dealing with more serious issues

Why did Subway forget the sauce on his Italian sandwich?

Lee, I worked in the restaurant business for many years and unfortunately things like this happen all the time. Subway like any other place is bound to make a mistake sooner or later.

I agree with Punky. This guy seriously wasted those officers' time. What if it was one of his loved ones in need of medical assistance or something and wasn't getting it because the officers had to deal with this foolishness? (I feel the same way about those selfish morons who won't pull over to let a fire truck, ambulance. or police car pass them.)

Employees make mistakes from time to time. If he had a problem, then he should have discussed it with the manager. If he continued to have problems with that particular Subway, then he should have taken his business elsewhere.

Ah, yes, another case for the FI file.

Of course, the man would not consider the danger he's putting others in by diverting emergency resources.

("FI" by the way, stands for "F****** IDIOT!!)

Yeah, I remember seeing this on the news a couple of mornings ago...and nearly falling on my butt laughing! LOL Naturally yesterday I ate supper at the Subway in my town's Wal-Mart and I bought a new TracFone and I couldn't resist...I said to the folks behind the counter, "Now be sure and get it right now, 'cause watch out...I BOUGHT A NEW CELL PHONE!!!" They knew I was talking about this and laughed.

Man nabbed after hitting girlfriend with sandwich

Link (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081119/ap_on_fe_st/odd_sandwich_assault;_ylt=Ag0K.aKGjryb_twKv0JjnurtiBIF)

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – A man faces a domestic battery charge after allegedly hitting his girlfriend with a sandwich as she was driving on Interstate 95 on Friday. Police said the 19-year-old man became angry and hit the woman in the arm and face with a sandwich, knocking her glasses off.

The victim nearly lost control of the car because she couldn't see the road and the man then allegedly ripped off the rear-view mirror and used it to shatter the windshield.

The man was freed on $7,500 bail.

Police haven't said what type of sandwich was involved.

Man allegedly assaults girlfriend with burger

Link (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081204/ap_on_fe_st/odd_cheeseburger_assault;_ylt=AgbSvzQGwi1ZBT0l0cGuoJjtiBIF)

A Vero Beach man faces a domestic violence charge after authorities said he assaulted his girlfriend with a cheeseburger. An Indian River County Sheriff's Office arrest report said a 22-year-old man and his girlfriend got into an argument as they sat in a car in front of their home.

The report said the man would not let the woman out of the vehicle, so she threw his drink out of the car. In response, the man allegedly grabbed her arm and smashed the cheeseburger into her face. The pair got out of the car, and authorities say the man again took the McDonald's sandwich and put it on her face.

The man was released on $1,000 bond Wednesday.
