Schmoopie 08-03-2008, 10:12 PM And John Stamos is debatable.
I didn't think he was that bad of a singer. In fact, whenever he did sing, it would just make me swoon!:eyes: :faint: :biglove: Of course, that could be because I had a HUGE crush on the guy and was just convinced that I was going to marry him someday!:ladiesman

I have to admit I really like David Soul's #1 hit from 1977, "Don't Give Up On Us". Did he sing it on the show?

Zebra 3 08-04-2008, 12:46 AM I have to admit I really like David Soul's #1 hit from 1977, "Don't Give Up On Us". Did he sing it on the show?

Reply:
Desi Jr. was a member of a trio with Dean Martin's son Dino and someone named Billy--not sure if he was the singer or just played one or the other of the instruments you mentioned.
Also, Freddie Prinze sang a couple of times on the show "Chico and the Man"--just silly improv-type stuff while playing acoustic guitar. He was a great singer, appearing on the Tony Orlando and Dawn Show and singing backup on the title song of their album "To Be with You".
Schmoopie 08-16-2008, 07:33 PM Barbara Billingsly sang on Leave it to Beaver
Did she really? I had no idea! Do you remember which episode it was?
BTW, DCJessica90 I love your avatar! That picture from "Family Matters" is so cute! I have completely drawn a blank and forget who the girl is. The guy is of course Steve Urkel... couldn't ever forget him!;)
Andrea
Jack Gomez 08-17-2008, 01:20 AM I just remembered a couple more:
Billy Jayne sang on Parker Lewis Can't Lose.
ALF sang on his show. In the pilot he and Andrea Elson sang "Proud Mary". Another episode he made a video for Lynn called "You're the one who's out of this world". Also, Max Wright and Benji Gregory sang in one episode for a school musical. "Asparagus, asparagus will make you feel more able."
BarneyFife 08-17-2008, 01:25 AM Jim Nabors (Gomer) sang on the Gomer Pyle Show.
Schmoopie 08-17-2008, 04:51 AM On Seinfeld, Jerry sang the "Looney Tunes" theme song and George once left a hilarious greeting on his answering machine to the tune of "Greatest American Hero" ("Believe it or not, George isn't at home.... where could I be? Believe it or not, I'm not home....")
Andrea

I love how Jerry was later singing George's message to himself as he walked down the street. I can never hear The Greatest American Hero theme now without singing George's version.
BarneyFife 08-17-2008, 03:06 PM Barbara Billingsly sang on Leave it to Beaver
Really! I don't remember that. Which episode? I can't recall anyone singing on Leave It To Beaver.
littlebelle 08-17-2008, 03:31 PM Karen Foster (Angela Watson) sang on multiple episodes of Step by Step. Both times were country songs because Angela in real life was pursuing a country singing career.
Libby Chessler (Jenna Leigh Green) sang on an episode of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch called "The Band Episode". In real life Jenna was a professional singer. With a voice like that, I'm surprised they didn't have her sing more often on the show.
I love how Jerry was later singing George's message to himself as he walked down the street. I can never hear The Greatest American Hero theme now without singing George's version.
I know what you mean, that always cracks me up too.

Wreckless 10-26-2008, 11:29 PM Anson Williams as Potsie Weber sang A LOT in Happy Days...and he was a pretty good singer too ;).
Wreckless 10-26-2008, 11:30 PM Edit: a lot of singers sang on the Fresh Prince. Little T in the first season, Tatyana Ali sang "Make Up Your Mind" as her one hit wonder hit, as she went on to become a singer and songwriter, while still acting after The Fresh Prince.

Wreckless 10-26-2008, 11:38 PM Well Will Smith on TFP sang the theme song and was a big rapper, especially with DJ Jazzy Jeff, who coincidentally played the character "Jazz" on the show during it's run...
dawsongirl 10-27-2008, 12:40 AM I can't remember if her brother ever sang. He played drums a lot and the guitar...he almost had to have sang aa well.
To answer my own post, yes, Desi Jr. sang at least a couple times I remember: once with Ann Margaret and once he did Sinatra in the living room. And then there was that school musical episode.

robyrob 10-27-2008, 03:06 PM Anson Williams as Potsie Weber sang A LOT in Happy Days...and he was a pretty good singer too ;).
almost everyone sang on Happy Days with all those Musical episodes like American Musical, Be My Valentine and the eps with the various versions of the band singing, the Magic Show and the Burlesque episodes,
MusicJunkie 10-27-2008, 03:17 PM let's not forget Phoebe and all of her wacky songs on Friends
ekkostar 10-27-2008, 05:34 PM I really do wish we had the multi-talents now like back in the 50s and 60s, yes, we do have the Disney set, but they're trained to be multi-talented. I would love to hear my favorite actors melodically burst out into song during a show episode, but that phenom seems long gone now.
Edit: Before anyone tells me, yes, I know John sang an altered version of 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen' (As 'God Rest Ye Widowed Divorcees') in a Christmas episode of Night Court. I was impressed by it, too. Too bad he didn't make a habit of singing more often. :(
